Paypal linked to Ebay, and Half/Amazon guru

Hi Guys,

Thank you very much for your helpful information in the your messages. I'm the one who got suspended so many times and tried hard to set up new accounts. I did it successfully because of Aspkin's article. A few question needed to be clarify though:

1. I use the virtual credit card from www.entropay.com. I'm trying not to link Ebay and Paypal and so, to follow your recommendation, I'm paying all the ebay fees by the virtual credit card. The problem is that everytime I need to pay for Ebay fee, I would have to pay extra charge around 4% to put my money into the virtual card and let it pay through the Ebay. Is there anyway to avoid this charge? Or another word, would it be safe if I pay all the ebay fee via Paypal with my new email address?

2. I was suspended from Half and Amazon as well. Do you have any recommendations to set up new accounts and avoiding suspension for those websites? Half and Amazon will be such great sales channels to deliver my products.

Hi asian4dude and welcome to the forums. I can answer one of your question's. You can use your paypal to pay your fee's but you need to add the email from the ebay acount your using to it and only log into that email so you can pay your fee's. They cant link them so your safe.

Oh yeah on your half and amazon.com's you can actualy sell stuff on there too? How does that work out. Not sure how to bypass the amazon and half tho.

It can be hard for someone new to the game of playing hide and seek with eBay, especially since they know all the hiding spots!

For your first question, it's kind of hard for me to answer. I don't really remember paying an eBay fee. Wait... wait... It's coming back. I believe one time I opted for a 'One Time Payment' the Seller tools area of eBay. Everything worked out fine. X2ruff4u got it right too!

What ever you do, do not select to link your Paypal account to your eBay account. This will cause you to become suspended. Everything else is good!

Second question! I'm sure they use the same methods in tracking who you are, etc. For the most part! Use your virtual credit card, sign up with false information, new Ip address etc. Let me know how it works!

I just did pay (one time payment) them all via my Paypal (of course with new email account). I will see how it goes. Hope it runs smooth without any sanction !!!

Speaking to Half and Amazon, I sell textbooks and so, these websites allow private sellers like me to participate and sell products too. The only difference from Ebay is their payment. They normally pay money via direct deposit into the particular bank account which provide the info to them. And so, I'm not sure if we put all new info, how the money shall be transfered. Let me try and will let you guys know.

iceplusplus, eBay and Paypal do not share the same information. So you can pay a balance without eBay knowing who you are. They only track you via your Ip and email address when it comes to Paypal. Thus you must pay using the new email address that you set up with your eBay account and added to your paypal account.

Are you saying that you shouldn't link PayPal and EBay in any way?

Should I put for buyers to send payments to my PAYPAL email address in the description and not put my email address in the EBay auction listing where it asks for it or is it okay to do this?

No I mean within eBay seller tools, there is an option to "link" your eBay and Paypal accounts. Don't do this. Everything else is okay!

Are you sure that you can just input ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address information when registering on ebay. Even when you do verify the '⊗⊗⊗⊗' address using a virtual gift card, what if ebay looks it up on google maps or something and they find out the address does not exist. Or what happens if you don't pay your ebay fees let's say after 3 or 4 months, and they send it to collections. The collections dept will quickly find out the name and/or address is bogus....couldn't they try and hold you criminally liable since you essentially made an address up. Also Aspkin, if you can delete my entry once it gets responded too, I don't want to give ebay any ideas on looking up to see if addresses are real if they're not doing that already.

I'm not too worried, but would prefer not to give any kind of address, even a friend's. I'm a legit seller, I just don't like ebay having this info, especially when it comes to owing ebay fees.

I just was wondering if ebay could do anything to you if they found out you were making up name/address info. Would they ever go on google and see if the address is valid.

Also, since I have a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, how do I build up feedback to 5 since I can't really have anything shipped to me, since the address is not valid. With Aspkin and everyone else, has anyone had problems making an address totally out of the blue. Thanks!
