issues with buying account
 

well, I bought something with newly created identity. Paid with my old PayPal account. Darndest thing, I checked out as normal, and the seller was shown the shipping address from ebay (⊗⊗⊗⊗) not the shipping address from paypal (real). Even if I log into my paypal account that has my real info, and I go to the details of the transaction, it shows my ebay name and my ebay address in the shipping information field (⊗⊗⊗⊗) that it got from ebay, and not the information that is on file with paypal, what's up with that?

I think I'm just going to go and get a PO Box and add that as my shipping address in ebay, leaving my registration address alone. I assume that's safe, unless the good folks here say different. That'll at least ensure I can still buy stuff and get it. Anybody else gone this route? I assume the PO won't care whos name the stuff gets sent to the PO box, right?

I wonder if I can get the PO to forward all mail sent to the PO box to my real address? That, combined with the simon cards would give one a virtually unlimited amount of "chances" with Lord Ebay.

You bought the ebay account from someone off of ebay abit confused on the first part. So your gona get a p.o box and send it to a adress near you basicly with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name hmmm.. Im pretty sure that would work. As long as the mail has a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and the p.o box is still urs with ur real name.

Thats actualy quite smart. But im not all to sure on real products. I specialize in digital products.

No, I didn't buy the ebay account, I just set a new one up with a phony address.

My question is, I bought one item on ebay. I go through the ebay checkout and pay with PayPal. As it appears to me, the seller got my ebay address, not my paypal address. My paypal address is where I'm at. So, I was hoping that when I checkout and pay with paypal, the seller would get my paypal address, but this did not appear to be the case. Even when I log into my paypal and look at the transaction details, it has my ebay details in the ship to address, not my paypal details.

I know as a seller, I'd get the ebay email with one address, and then the paypal email with another address sometimes. I always shipped to the paypal address. But, on the other side of this as a buyer, it appears the seller is only receiving my ebay address. Not sure I get it.

As I sit here now, I only see a PO box to get out of this situation safely unless you guys can give me a better idea.

Contact the seller and tell him you want it delivered at a different address. But dont tell him over ebay, im paranoid about sending messages on there like that. Like call him. P.o box probaly would be last resort but uh. I would actually tell him you want it shiped somewere else. Ebay doesnt have to know were it got shipped cause its not connected to your paypal theyll think it got shipped there.

I was gona buy somethin off of ebay. But im paranoid also the way to buy products with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ account and all. Im pretty sure aspkin or modee knows more about this. Than I do.

I don't think emailing the seller and asking him to ship to another address would work. I know as a seller, when someone emailed me from time to time asking that, I would not do it. For one thing, its against paypal policy and is indicative of fraud, so I would assume most other sellers won't do it.

Somehow, your paypal address needs to come through to the seller. From some reason, when I tried to make one purchase (albeit a digital item), my ebay address came through and was shown even on my paypal transaction details page in paypal itself. Makes no sense to me.
