Default Ebay not responding to get account reinstated

My husband and I each had our accounts suspended because they were linked. I got my husbands account reinstated within 2 weeks. Mine is taking forever. Is this normal? Why would Ebay reinstate his account right away and not mine? I have done all that they have asked but they have not responded. Since our accounts are linked by the same mailing address and phone number can he still use his account in the meantime? I did change our IP address since this has all happened. I waited till his account was reinstated before I changed the IP address. Neither one of us has logged into our accounts for over 2 weeks now. I have changed our ip address and we are only answering Ebay through our personal emails. We do not have the same email addresses. His is through our internet provider and mine is through yahoo. If my husband were to log in to his account, would he be suspended now? It's so stupid. They now we live at the same address. Reinstating his account and not mine is almost useless. Why would they do that?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

If they already have yours and you husbands accounts linked, then definately get yours reinstated before using your husbands..they could possibly be waiting to see what you do..I wouldn't take any chances, your 50% there and if they reinstated one, theres no reason they shouldn't reinstate the other..I'd say hang in there and wait.

What if I change the IP address? It's been 4 days since I last sent them an email and the info they requested. When I was trying to get my husbands account reinstated, they always responded within 24 hours of the emails. I don't understand what they are doing now. If I change the IP address and his email will they still link us?

You really have to wait until they lift your restrictions as well. you're putting yourself in the firing line if they already have the two accounts linked - regardless of which email addresses you're using to communicate with them or IP address you do it from.

I've been suspended a few times and sometimes it takes 24 hours to get lifted, others nearly 10 days. it depends on how many other people are in your position at the same time

well, I've had about half a dozen seperate accounts going at any one time since '02 so I'm speaking in that context.

generally, I think I've been suspended once or twice, let back on, then 'indefinitely suspended' after that on most of them.

mostly vero-ed off i might add...

Refax your documents its been to long it should take less then 2 weeks. See what happens next from there. If its the same ip your logging on then I wouldnt risk it getting banned all over again, cause ebay has that automatic ban about banning people so I would play it safe and use your hosbins account until you get yours reinstated since his was reinstated first.

Default Ebay not responding to get account reinstated

Let me just start off by saying how awesome this site is!! Everyone was so helpful. My husband and I each got suspended for Shill bidding. Our accounts were linked apparently by our address and things. Long story on that one. We were not in the wrong. It has been a long couple of weeks but today we got word that both our accounts are now reinstated. I am not using my account at all any more. We will leave that one alone. I have changed our IP address and we hope to be okay now. This site was full of info and well worth looking at. I could not believe how many people get suspended for such dumb reasons. It's a shame Ebay does not have competition. It would be nice to see them go down just as fast as they are putting us down. Thanks again.

Default Me Too

I am too trying to get reinstated on ebay....was suspended last year, faxed docs etc then got reinstated....then I listed about 20 items and within the hour was indefinately suspended for being linked to another suspended account....surely they knew that when they checked me out the first time...I wouldn't mind, I do not, will not and never have done any shill bidding...mine was was buying and reselling ebooks, unfortunately unbeknown to me some of them were not free for resale and the original seller reported me and had a vero against me...hence the suspension....I really do think they are unfair sometimes...they act as judge and jury and sentence you without giving you a fair chance to explain your side or at least reply to them....your fees become payable immediately, you cannot answer any questions in My eBay so your buyers think you have done one....they in the meantime leave negative feedback and then it all turns pear shaped....

I have in the meantime applied for a pre paid credit card that is currently being processed as I type so hopefully if they don't reinstate my account I will be able to start over again and hopefully stay clean and check check and double check anything I buy with resell rights first !!!!

Just hope the information about changing a few account details around works as thats the only problem I can see stumbling across, as with a new pre paid credit card, a bogus name and address its just the banking details that I see as a possible problem, but hopefully aspkins info will work splendidly...will let you know...

hopelessinpa, I cant relate to this kind of experience. I have about 6 ebay accounts and they are all linked with almost everything (IP, cookies, address). The first time one of my accounts was suspended, the rest of them went down with it. I filed a request for reinstatement and all of the accounts were reinstated. The second time this account was suspended, ebay shut down only 4 others and left one alone(the one left alone happened to be the one I use most). I asked ebay to reinstate the other accounts and it was pretty obvious they weren't gonna. I have been using this account for over a year now and ebay has really not bothered me at all (except for 1 or 2 instances). It definitely doesn't seem like it could be an accident, someone with ebay had to chose to do this.

longisland88, did you request to reinstate all your accounts or just one & the rest were reinstated automatically?
