Ebay member - suspended for ??? (Rant)
Hello All,
what can I say that other's haven't ? I had a good account on Ebay, (99.8% +ve 800+ feedback with 1 neg + 3 neutral in a year). I bought and sold, usually DVDs, music/hifi odd electrical equipment, which I would watch/play for a while then sell on if/when I had enough of it.
Without warning I had seller limits imposed, no idea why, but I could live with the limits. They next month they were reduced to 1/3 - which now meant I couldn't sell as much as I wanted to. So that was annoying as I had less money on PAYPAL for buying things. I appealed the limit and I was told that nothing could be done until the 20th December.
On the 6th Jan my seller's account was suspended indefinitely ! At the time my rating was "above average". I appealed - heard nothing etc On the 20th Jan my account was rated "Below Standard" - eventually I managed to talk to someone who said that I had had too many (5%) "defects" on my account. I gave full refunds to any buyer that requested it and I dealt with any problems even when I was not at fault. For example, a buyer buying the wrong thing and me refunding them is MY defect ! Someone claiming that they did not receive the item, then I provide a scan of a signed note showing they DID receive the item, that is MY defect ! A plate getting broken in the post and my giving a full refund is MY defect ! Items taking longer than normal to deliver over Xmas (despite me pointing that out before posting it) is MY defect ! Well I had "defects" for 1 in 20 items before Xmas, so that is it !
No selling on Ebay for EVER !!!
Which for me also means no buying - Ebay killed off for me ! Over what ?? |
