Safe harbor put me here... in the Underground, with 2- 40 foot trailers of merchandise to sell... after a 10 year stint.... :))

Triflin 02-14-2008 07:06 PM

Sheesh, do you have to name it the same thing that ebay calls theirs?? Can't you at least be creative. Ebay sucks....don't try to clone it.

Lisa B 02-15-2008 05:05 PM

I guessed I missed it on their website but where is eWaey.com located and what is their physical address?
There isn't much on their ABOUT US or CONTACT US pages

GreenBean 02-15-2008 06:04 PM

FYI. Look at powersellersunite web. There is information to consider.

alexsandro pomposelli 02-16-2008 06:26 AM

No. We are not going to clone it. No intentions to. But we need a panel where all the problems can get directed to and have fair resolutions. That is just an idea.
No we are not going to be like ebay or anything close to it in terms of fairness we are with you guys on your side.
thank you

alexsandro pomposelli 02-16-2008 06:31 AM

Yes Greenbeen PSU hates us. They hate us for our ideas and for our determination.
We were discriminated and treated very unfair. Most of the posters there are site owners and they are bias and control the boards.
We did not do anything bad and they are lying about ewaey to the point of no respect.
We always tried to get a better script and never ever did the things they are talking about.
We did shut down once due to the problem that we cannot charge anything and now with our new plan things are different. Much different.
PSU is a bias forum and does not consider the small and starting sites. Not fair at all.
But you can join ewaey if you want to. No one is telling anyone that they have an obligation.
Just look at the ideas and objectives of each alternative site. Choose the one you feel more confident and go for it.
Thank you.

We just added more features that will help buyers find your items and also to navigate the site. We are also in the process of giving the forums area a super upgrade. All for you the member!
thanks
Alex

I have been at ewaey for a year and really like the improvements. I know this will be a great site.
See ya, cathy

dakrei 02-18-2008 09:46 PM

Chris Hanson 02-18-2008 10:11 PM

And?? Make it 1,001 . Lets support them

alexsandro pomposelli 02-19-2008 08:57 PM

Ewaey has over 3700 items listed. That is the correct number. And its growing everyday.
thanks

in2ford 02-21-2008 11:48 PM

Well I just listed my first item with Ewaey...well see how it goes. I like the website, but there is not much going on with the kind of stuff I sell. I sell alot of used auto parts...but giving it a try.

when you plan to promote eweay on TV, so people will know this site, just like overstock.com, it's becoming more popular...:)

twdell 02-22-2008 08:40 AM

keep us posted in2ford. thanks.

TV ads

Well we need money in order to get TV ads. I already have the Ad for the TV but it costs around 2000 for just a town for two weeks of showing. So as you see we cant have that yet. Unless we get an investor which we are also looking for.
We are advertising on google adwords , youtube , yahoo ads worldwide right at this moment. Google base and google products plus we are linking to other 300 sites per day.
Thanks
Alex
ewaey.com

leonid5000 02-24-2008 03:33 AM

do you know what overstock spends for advertising ?
you people have no idea h much $ it takes. You have to be on tv otherwise you just wasting your time.

insertionfee 02-25-2008 04:52 AM

I disagree. No TV ad has EVER made me want to go to a website.

leonid5000 02-25-2008 05:32 AM

well thats how ebay did it. They dropped millions of dollars on advertising on tv as well as other places.
Hey money makes money.. Overstock.com are very cheap on tv commercials and they try advertising online.. thats why they are not that big. I think Overstock have good potential. look at EWAEY.COM traffic.. most self made web stores got bigger traffic then EWAEY.. It is funny how they show 'Newest members" and "Recently sold" "Site Status" thats not going to help i would take it off. There are so many auctions sites like EWAEY that try to make it on internet.. ewaey is funny because they want to look like bay.. they have allot of sellers but no buyers. Unless they get investor who will drop million or so on advertising they wont get anywhere in this jungle. I have a felling most sellers came there from this site.. And if they did got anywhere ebay would probably sue them for looking like them or something.. Overstock wuld be way better choice then EWAEY they shuld of call it DREAMWAY.com ;-) yps that site is taking

imjustme 02-25-2008 06:37 AM

No offense, but ewaey.com is difficult to type and won't catch on because of that reason.

And the logo is a bad rip-off from the eBay logo.

Mr_Wolf 02-25-2008 07:40 AM

Great site, but still not as eBay. No eye candy and features like on eBay. Not surprising, since eBay been in development since the 90s.

I too was thinking of doing an online auction site, I thought about using Xaraya as my base platform..

Time + Money, alone I wouldn't be able to do it.

Have a look at XARAYA, google it.. It's a platform, anything is possible on it.. How about opening a development team and doing something that will be used by people? PM me.

mantisinc 02-25-2008 10:51 AM

Is Xaraya not just a content management system more than an auction based framework?
