I'm really sorry to hear what happened Oldlady. Unfortunately over the past few years eBay has gotten into the habit of banning sellers for innocent infractions (or none at all). My opinion is that they're more than happy to get rid of independent sellers because it makes eBay more profitable for all of the corporate stores that have been setting up shop on. If kicking out "small" sellers means a few more sales for Newegg or Toys R' Us, they're more than happy to do so.
When it comes down to it, eBay is just a horrible company that doesn't give a **** about anyone but themselves. If you take the time to look around on this forum you'll find endless stories of people being banned for ludicrous reasons. Starting over sucks, but eventually you can get back to where you were, believe it or not.

Got an update for you all. I managed to get both accounts reinstated. My husband never intended to sell anything that was in anyway dodgy, he's found another line to sell and some home made stuff (he's good at that sort of thing) that can't possibly infringe anyone's rights.
It does look like the vero was a malicious one, not made ebay aware of this yet, still gathering more proof before we make any moves to settle that score.
As I said before no way am I going to sell on ebay, I'm done with them. I did make one purchase just to check my account was active and it was. Hubby is still listing stuff but is trying out other auction sites at the same time. |

I think eBay treat everyone on the site as accustomed business sellers with full knowledge of VERO etc.. when in truth there are still people just starting out.

I'm glad it's sorted, but I still get panicky when I see an email headed Ebay. I almost feel like it's left me with ptsd. |

Reinstated accounts are like reanimated zombies. A weak blow of eBay paranoia wind, and they will be suspended again, forever. |

| Well done oldlady and keep up n looking at those other avenues for selling as well, while always keeping in mind that most of those others will have no where near the amount of site visitors that ebay does and that's why so many of us come back to it and Amazon, those two between them really have no competition in the western world. |
