my method to test if pictures are linkable. PLEASE SHARE KNOWLEDGE.

Hi everyone.
So i was thinking about how to know 100% if your photos are linkable or and I'd come up with the following idea please share you opinion.
1. Open ebay simple stealth account no paypal need to be attached.
2. Get the photos and upload to a draft listing
3. Wait about 1 day and see if the account is restricted.

If not you can use the pictures safely.
BUT!!
I think this will only work against the bots but not through manual review so if you list your first items this is not good enough.
Please let me know what you think:ranger:

I think I have better things to do when I know that the methods I use mean i do not need to do these experiments.

Seems a time waster

Why not just take a new picture per account and save yourself all the stress of wondering?

Seems like your trying to find a solution for something that is not really a problem.

Make sure you also remove all EXIF data.

Allow me to explain my situation before you say anything...
I sold in the suspended account a few niche products that only sold using stock photos taking the products individual photos is simply not enough. So, now I must use the same photos again. I used to strip exif data also before so linking is easy even if I strip photos again. The manufacturer has only three photos of the product so I must use it again what are my options? Would changing resolution be enough?
Thanks

What do you mean? You cannot thake your own photos of the item?

In any case you will never find the "magic combination" for resolution, dimensions, inverse etc etc of those photos.

You are probably linked by the object itsel and you will always be found.

Moreover, even if it is ok for 1 week or 1 month you can always be flagged and suspended after 2 months... really there is no fixed rule for that.

My meaning was that I must use the stock photos OR THE ITEMS WON'T SELL how can I get linked based on the product itself people can't sell suspended items?? This Is ridiculous
Any advice?

..it really depends on the item and on the account that sells it.

Just curious why must you use the stock photos?

I find lower quality real photos outperform stock photos. I do not mean LOW QUALITY but lower quality that a professional studio.

People want to know you have the item and what they are getting not a photo booth enhanced low resolution image.

A great stock photo is good but make sure you have actual photos also. People and especially ebay like to see you got the item.

When you take your own Pics I find listings are not taken down as much as if you use just stock photos

But that being said if you absolutely need to use the same stock photos, than just use something like exif cleaner, and clear all the data from the pic and there will be no link

using the same photos without exif cleaner? I believe and you and have always seen this stuff about linking them. I know it is not a guaranteed it does or does not but I do not believe it is an issue. I mean how many iphones named John's Iphone and their computer is named my computer, that is the only exif data they can get unless in a rare occasion they can see geo info. I say I believe you but I also say why not clean the exif data better to be safe than sorry!

No account is ever immune.

All accounts can be checked out.

I do use the exif cleaner just to be safe, but in terms of using same picture ebay DOES NOT link you whatever anyone says, especially some comments saying take different set of pics for each account i mean comeeee onnn who has time for the lol.. if it dont make money then it dont make shizza

How are you so sure man? The fact that you could use them across multiple accounts doesn't necessarily means that if I use the same suspended unexifed photos I will not get suspended I assume the kill robots are less tollarent against suspended users

Re: my method to test if pictures are linkable. PLEASE SHARE KNOWLEDGE.

Here is what I do in "paint":

1) slightly change resolution of the picture
2) usually in the dark part of the picture I take a pencil and scribble around in that area for a bit.
3) Save picture and use "Batch purifier" to remove any data

Also I have a logo for every shop I own on ebay, so I add watermark to my pictures online. Here is a very good website to do that: Add a logo as watermark over an image online → ConvertImage.Net
