Account linking via pictures

I wonder if ebay checks photos for technical similarities as well? I mean, I can do lots of alike photos of the same item, all will be on a white background, all professional and HQ, but all slightly different. Is this acceptable, or if one stealth uses white bg photos, then the other should use carpet as bg, and third should use a tiled garage floor as a bg?

If i sell the same item across multiple accounts, I would take pictures on different backgrounds. If you have the same item on the same exact tile floor on multiple accounts, youre asking for trouble. Its not hard to take pictures with different backgrounds. Also, make sure to wipe exif data clean.

To be honest, I think it vaires from category to category. Some markets are relatively small compared to others and it's quite easy to see the differene between somebody who is selling the item because they found it in a attic or if somebody has 7 million feedbacks because they sell it professionally.
If you have 80 accounts and they all sell same item, or similar item, in a smaller market then it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to see the obvious signs of stealthing going on.
In reality- If the category that you are selling in is big and has thousands of professional sellers, then I seriously doubt that it makes a HUGE difference- Unless you draw some attention on your account with a mistake or something of that kind.
But if you operate in a tiny market with handful of "professional" sellers, then it's worthwhile to make it look as different as possible.

That's my take on it, and I'm in no way a professional.

As a volume seller, the method you suggest above does not work out to well for me time wise.
