| Low DSR - can anything be done I have a new ebay account with a total sales of about 110 and have low DSR 9.5 for march. Can anything be done on this account or should I just leave it. I have not received anything from ebay regarding suspension, should I try to sell more from this account or leave it alone as it will be suspended soon. Thanks |

The only way to improve DSR, is faster postage, FREE shipping, more detailed descriptions & better communication. |
JamesNorth101 | 03-23-2015 07:10 AM | Re: Low DSR - can anything be done Sell items fast, offer free fast postage and you will see your DSR increase.
You can even include a free gift with all yours items and a little note asking the buyers to leave you feedback |
jeffweico | 03-23-2015 07:42 AM | Re: Low DSR - can anything be done How many defects are we talking about? |
Re: Low DSR - can anything be done Hi All,
Thanks for the advise, the DSR shows 9% defect rate for march evaluation period - 10 put of 110 items. thanks |
just_smile | 03-23-2015 10:23 AM | Re: Low DSR - can anything be done What are your selling limits a month?
The account can be saved, but it depends on your limits and if you can sell enough to get above standard.
Also 10 oit of 110 is ALOT. You will need to change your selling practices to save the account. |

Re: Low DSR - can anything be done Welcome to the forums - sell low end items with free shipping and get your ratio up |
just_smile | 03-23-2015 11:39 AM | Re: Low DSR - can anything be done Thats solid limits, you can save the account.
you will need to sell roughly 100 more items and receive no new defects. That will take your rate below 5% threshold.
Bare in mind ebay may lower your selling limits at your next evaluation. So you may need to start asap.
Good luck |
jeffweico | 03-23-2015 11:51 AM | Re: Low DSR - can anything be done You would have to ell your next 110 items with ZERO defects to get below 5%. I would say sell only stock you have on hand and only QUALITY items. The, ship the SAME DAY if at all possible, or the next day at the latest and kiss a lot of buyer-butt for awhile. You CAN save the account, but it won't be easy. |
Re: Low DSR - can anything be done Thanks everyone, very helpful, last question will they wait till next evaluation or will I be gone before that. I am just nervous and have read lot of posts here were ebay just sends an email one day. |

What I suggest is looking at the issues to see what to do and then making choices.
Can you share that and we can sure make sensible suggestions.

As you got low DSR because item not as described, look again if its an issue with same item, maybe its worth not to sell that item or at least give more information to buyers
Sometimes 1-2 items spoils all good job.
Try to list as much as you can while you can as most likely your limits will be lowered
If you will go over 10% for 2-3 months in a raw you have very high chances to get selling restriction for life |
oompaloompa | 03-24-2015 08:28 AM | Re: Low DSR - can anything be done wondering is it harmful if you just let it rest and stop sales? like a re-set? |

Only way out is to dilute the defect rate by selling more.
The time to stop using an account and let it rest is before you go over the 5% threshold. |
Re: Low DSR - can anything be done And build new accounts to spread the risk of this major account being shutdown and causing you loss of business |

OP is barely running one account so he should make more and face the same issues????
Quite genius you.
A more sensbile approach would be sorting the issues and making sure he can operate well enough to consider more than one account.
