Ebay - MC011
 

Hello!

Before I found this forum, I had bought stealth US account from a chinese guy. The account was registered more than 4 months ago and had no feedback score.
I always used VPS service to log in with IP in Washington, USA.
I listed 1 item for $160, non-branded item, just a cable. Location - USA.
In 2-3 days I listed 4 items with price about $150 each, location - Hong Kong.
Now Ebay restricted my account, the code is MC011. They ask me to provide driver license, invoices, address approval.
I would like to know if it was my mistake or the chinese guy didn't create the account properly.
What do you think about that?
I know that I lost that account since I can't provide required documents. But I would like to avoid such problems on UK accounts I am going to buy here.

your 1st item shouldn't be that expensive.
your 2nd, 3rd and even 4th also shouldn't be that expensive.

other thing, the location should be solid.

List something subtle for your first item, like a secondhand book on 3 day auction

Before listing expensive things, list something not so expensive, sell it, then sell another inexpensive thing. Do that for a month. Then put more expensive things. When you state that items are from HK, and you claim to be in US, it can look bad as well.

Welcome to the forums OP - can your items be considered risky e.g. branded, f*ke, etc?

Well most of us would think listing an item on a new account at $150 value a bit risky.

What type of listing is a mere cable listed at $160?????? What inspired that?

Couple that with an account from some Chinese dude and there's a recipe for trouble.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, since when did, 'just a cable' cost $160? It wasn't even a branded item you said op, not that that you could have listed a worse first item if you had deliberately set out to sell a high risk.

You need to go back to basics, the very first basics of stealth, and learn and take in why we do not all list computer accessories on new accounts, if it was possible to do that, do you not think everyone would be doing it. As for buying an account from some Chinese guy, who knows why he was selling it, maybe it was already limited and he knew it's was heading for trouble and he was just looking for someone who was naive enough to buy it from him without asking many questions, not least why he was selling it in the first place.

So the best decision for the next accounts is to start selling from the cheapest items lower than $10, right?
I can't ship goods from UK or US. I have to sell from Hong Kong only. Won't it be a serious problem?

If you ship from HK, it is ok only for items that are 100% not infringing anyone intellectual rights, like unbranded generic 1 usd usb cables not for apply iPhoun and selfie sticks. Because it is obvious that "branded" and "HK" are not compatible words ;)
