below standard March 24th to restricted April 1st, HOW?
 

When I first started my eBay business I had to mark some items out of stock. I had no idea this would have such an impact on my seller status. So March 24th I was told I was below standard and to get some more sales and get below 5% by the next evaluation (April 20th) Yesterday I got an email saying my account had been restricted and I would not be allowed to sell. my seller performance was at 5.1% just 0.1% away from being above standard (about 1-2 days worth of sales max)!! I currently have 136 sales 5 stars 100% feedback (11 year old account) all of my DINGs were from "marked out of stock" I talked with a rep and she said I have a real good chance of beating the case. What do you guys think? I appealed yesterday and am waiting an email response either today or tomorrow. if I lose should I ask for a manager and plead my case?

Seems like there was a recent clean-up for below standards accounts. I have got 2 of my 1k/13k limit accounts gone and even though I was not selling in global anymore and for 2nd one I was only 10 days into below standard and next month it was going to be above standard at about 2% max. Both accounts were gone 2 minutes apart.

Welcome to the forums - sell low-end, free ship items to get your DSRs up (people will leave feedback). Also consider making new accounts and building them to start spreading

Just got my 25k limit account restricted today because of an account review after using it over a year. Sucks, well everything doesn't last forever does it. Ebay sucks!

Was it below standard as well? Last year before that update in August of 2014 I was able to be in below standard for about 2-3 months or so and nothing happened.

Mine was above average. Positive feedback for over a year. They want id, documents, etc, but I will probably be denied since I sell lower then most people. Already tried on other accounts. Good while it lasted. Ebay stinks more then poop!

my fate should be decided tomorrow.. If I lose the appeal via email should I call and ask for a certain department etc? I think I messed up the appeal because originally I thought my account selling limits were just restricted and not totally banned from selling completely so I didn't point out all my strengths like I should have. I figured I'd just have to wait til April 20th before being back fully. I have a 5 out of 5 stars rating 5.1% defect rate.. all from marking 'out of stock".. 0 are from actual products being faulty. and 100% feedback rate with people talking about excellent communication and shipping times. I just hope the eBay review person actually looks at my stuff. Anyone ever won after getting denied by email?

Update: 1 of my DSR was because of an Item that had a cracked bottom leg in the wood panel. Buyer opened a case I refunded them immediately and the buyer left me positive feedback and the issue was resolved with no problem. If eBay would toss that defect claim out that would put me at 4.4% defect rate. (Above standard)

I had one account the same last month.
It went below on the 20th and was toast on the 4th

I had 7 cases opened in a week, all items where stuck in customs for 21 days before they left my country.

2 of the cases were on the .co.UK and the defect was overturned.

The cases on .com lost the appeal and they won't over turn them and now just won't answer my emails.

I'm not wasting any more time on it and have moved on.

Still suspended.. got an automated message saying my account would be remain suspended because I'm below in the global market. That's bull sh*t because I only deal with USA. I'm now above standard in the USA but below in the global market. WTF?

Me told you that you were toast. Did you not believe me. Same thing happened to me because of ONE person who bought 35 items at xmas and then returned. 700 positive and 8 negatives and I was GONE, GONE, GONE. Start over with stealth.

Already did Lol bought an account and I'm off and running again, Made sure to be very very stealthy all my products are low risk so hopefully I'm fine and I will never mark anything out of stock ever again!
