MC011 Your Ebay Selling Account Has Been Restricted
 

I've had this Ebay account for just over 2 years now with a 1,500 item $75,000 a month limit and 99.9% feedback rating. A few days ago one of my listings were removed and I received a message from Ebay saying this:

"A review of your eBay account has raised some concern that your use of services may not meet the guidelines in eBay's User Agreement. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Selling privileges have been temporarily restricted. You won't be able to list new items or revise current listings. You're also not allowed to register a new account.
- Some or all of your listings may have been removed. Any removed items will be listed further down in this email.
- We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).

To appeal this restriction, you'll need to:
Upload the information we've listed below to
https://ocs.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...RiskManagement

Make sure that your name and username appear on each document that you submit. If this information isn't included, it can't be processed. Also, please be sure your submitted documents are current, valid, and legible.

- Documentation (including manufacturer's invoices or receipts) that shows that you purchased the item(s) recently listed for sale on eBay."
Another detail I should add is that all of my other listings are still active, but I'm no longer able to create new listings or edit the current active listings and what I sell are dvd's. So of course I can't come up with the manufacturer invoices that Ebay is requesting. Is there anyone here that knows how to create these invoices? Or is there another way to try to have these restrictions removed? I really need help.

They are not asking for ID and a utility bill?

No. They're only asking for the manufacturer's invoices for the items that were taken down.

I also want to add that this Ebay & Paypal account are business accounts with valid EIN and back acct and state registered. Not stealth accts. The issue are my sources from which I obtain my products. My Paypal account wasn't affected either.

So obviously the DVDs were phony...invoice really isnt hard to come up with for that sort of thing.

For some reason I can't copy or paste anything on MS Paint. Trying to get the invoice together, but it's proving to be rather difficult.

May have to look at outsourcing then - there are people who do it for a fee. All the best with your choice.

Keep in mind that there is a chance that you won't be reinstated even if you provide the docs....just fyi

You dont even need Paint for an invoice....I have made invoices in about 5 minutes and didnt require any photoshopping.

Yeah, you're right, but I took care of the invoice already, just hoping it works. @ rsot I'm kinda expecting for the account to not get reinstated, but if it does, I will truly be happy. I'm also looking into new wholesale sources and less risky products. Mostly generic, no name stuff, because we all know that you can get all your stuff from legitimate sources but with the prices that you pay for the items, you could not even think that you'd be able to compete on Ebay.

Got the same thing today. Provided proof of invoice tho(⊗⊗⊗⊗ of course). I had 120 quantity of an item up and I got a call and they thought I had stolen goods lolz

I just had the same thing. I have legit goods I ordered from Amazon. Microsoft product. Sent in Amazon Invoices, hopefully that is good enough....

I can tell you exactly what will happen. Once you submit your receipts, after a day or two all of your listings will be removed and you will not be allowed to sell on the account again. You will PROBABLY still be able to BUY on the account.

eBay will not accept receipts from ANY SOURCE other than an AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR and they have a list of those. They know what their invoices look like and if there is any question they will call them to verify. Claiming your purchases were closeouts or from a liquidation company will not fly.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this has happened to many, many people and the outcome is always the same. If you DO manage to save the account somehow, you will be the first I have heard of.

Jeffweico might be right.
What I would do in your situation is find an actual distributer of DVDs - every large city has one.
Go directly to them and buy a bunch of DVDs from them so you can get an official receipt from them with their phone number. When you submit this the phone number and all the details will be legit - in case they check it (and they most likely will).
If the account is that important it might be worth a shot.

This Just Happened To me again. I purchased a Stealth account from this site and my Assistant in the Philippines was posting 25 listings per week and as soon as they started selling like hot cakes I got the boot. This account was 7 months old with 1K limit. Perhaps listing too many too fast was the cause? What should I do so that this doesn't happen again? By the way. Could someone please explain what VERO means. I don't recall reading it in the Stealth Guide

How was your "Assistant" connecting to the account?

Your leaving out too many things, such as:
1. How many Positive/Negative feedbacks did the account have?
2. Were the items being dropshipped?
3. Did you have a lot of returns?
4. Did you start out listing 25 items per week?

Well if it happens again, there's nothing you can do! lol....perhaps your question should be, "How do I avoid from this happening again"?.

You probably should start out selling slow, build feedback then raise the limit of items you list.

VERO is a Program Ebay started where any Company who owns the Rights to any product can have their items removed from Ebay.

did you ever get that ebay account squared away? Did you send them an invoice? Did you get re-instated?
