Will my family's ebay accounts get suspended under my circumstances?
 

My dad runs a totally different paypal address than I do.

He also has a different products (tennis rackets)


While, me, my account is suspended.

We have the same ip address (obviously... same house..)
Howevr we use totally seperate computers, never ever been on each other's. No same cookies, no same paypal, no same ebay account.

Will my dad still get suspended because we live in the same house hold?

Part of your ebay suspension notice is that ebay says it has the right to block all new applications for the same address. i have also been suspended...and if it were that easy... i wouldnt try it. If he already has an active account then i suppose that shold be okay... i am no expert.

I believe there is a good chance he will get suspended no matter what you do at this point. He should probably build a back up account now to be safe.

I'm surprised your dad hasn't been suspended already. Same physical address, same IP (which you sound as if it's a static IP), and likely same last name.

Its just a matter of time! :(

If it was me, I would not try to get your suspended account reinstated.

It will just bring attention to your Dad's account.

Maybe Aspkin or Modee or someone else with more seasoned experience could answer this...

Even if it's another computer, just to be safe, if your dad laid low for a little bit, changed the ip to start fresh, cleared the cookies/flash objects etc (again, just to be safe).. Slightly change the address, but don't immediately use the account to sell (say for 30 days or so) would this delay the process a bit, or perhaps tip toe around the Hawk eyes of eBAY ??

I would assume if it's pre 11/2007 account when your father started back up, he could not associate with PP all together, but could sign up for a Merchant account and just click Merchant account as the payments accepted option and start selling by accepting CC's without having to fax in any documents??

Basically, what Im saying is, use some of the Stealth and/or Modee's methods with this particular account to try and preserve it...

I had 2 accounts, both shutdown previous. I think my dad used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address on the ebay, but real on the PP? i will look more into this.

I have never used stealth's ebay method at all.. in fact i dont know waht I did.

But i perfectly made 3 accounts.

My dad runs a different paypal account, however, he access my paypal account once on the 13th of december,

my account got banned on the 16th,

is this going to be linked?

I don't think it will. There are 2 main things that are clear to eBay; 1 is that the accounts are used in the same household, and 2 is what the accounts are used for.

If they can clearly see that your dad is selling items different to what you've been selling, and continues to sell these items after you're suspension, then his account should be okay. But if you start listing your items on the account, it's likely he'll get suspended.

That's what happened to me pretty much. I had an account, along with both my sister and dad. Dad's account was a sellers account, sisters account was just a buyers account. Dad sold fairly regularly, items that were totally different to what I was selling. When my account got suspended, both of the others stayed up. Soon as I created my sisters into a sellers account and sold my previous products, it got suspended. However - dad's accounty stayed up fine.

So really I think some brain cells are used in decided whether or not everyones account in the family gets supended or not.

Most likely the accounts are linked and eBay is just waiting for your dad to start something new, make changes to the account etc.

Especially if the address is the same on both accounts

If your dad is using a different address, then he might get lucky and be okay. But if it's the same address he's running on borrowed time and there is nothing that can be done.

If i delete my cookies, and delete flash cookies.

Change my IP address -

Are they going to be suspicious of my fathers account now?
Asking him to reverify?
