MC011-How long before it lifts?
 

I got an MC011 today because my dropshipper delivered tracking numbers to late resulting in a couple eBay cases being opened on me. All of which I have now satisfied and just closed out.

Of course ebay still gave me an MC011 instead of actually checking to see that they were suppose to close them. I assume its a bot that gave me the MC011..

Anyway how long do i sit twittling my thumbs before it lifts?

When a buyer opens a case on eBay, the buyer usually has to CLOSE it as well. If you just entered the tracking information and it shows received, the buyer STILL has to actually close the case. If the buyer does not close the case, the case closes automatically 30 days after the case was opened.

In many cases, the buyer does not even realize that a case was opened - many buyers just think they are sending a message to the seller. But eBay, about 2 years ago, implemented a new strategy where a case is opened for almost ANY customer contact with the seller. If a buyer does not choose the "other" option after clicking on "contact the seller" a case is automatically opened.

As far as how long it will be before the MC011 lifts, that I cannot tell you. I should think it will lift once the cases are closed.

You have to option to close it yourself without the buyer. That is what I just did and it does not have to be 30 days.

Never lifted. I just got hit for supplier invoices I don't have :|
