Have I ruined everything with this one mistake...
 

I was banned from Ebay indefinately last year. I had a linked paypal account which wasnt banned and I continued to use a little bit.

Since this I moved house, I also changed bank, isp, etc. So i thought I would now set up a fresh account..

New ISP, new address, new phone number. Set up new Ebay with this. Then set up new paypal, new address, phone number, debit card... but then when it came to bank account... it came up as "sorry linked to another paypal"!! I then added a different account i had and all working ok for now.

I think this was when I changed banks they alerted all companies i had direct debits with of new account details and paypal was one of them.

So what do you reckon? Like I said I was never banned from paypal. But it's ebay I'm worrying about. Do you think this will have definately been logged and therefore the 2 paypal accounts linked and therefore ebay now aware of this too?

It will be used against you at some point depending on how similar your future habits will resemble your actions on your suspended accounts. My experience is that EB/PP never bans users based on only one parameter, unless its egregious. Because its always possible that banks recycle old account numbers. But that + similar listings habits to your old account illustrates you as a greater risk.

But why not just ditch the account before you invest time in developing it. Why watch over your shoulders when your current account's development is still negligible.

I also believe you'll be ok, as long as you don't raise up any red flags

empire is right, you don't necessarily get suspended off one flag. it takes a few. keep your activity as non-suspicious as possible and don't rush around the site

instead of ditching it, make another, and another. keep things neat by using dedicated IPs for each account/user profile.

I do not think this will cause any issues for you. But I would not let too much money sit in there very long either.

Bjammin is right.. i dont think 'blocked' actions are logged since people make typo's all the time.
