| | | mayflower | 07-12-2015 09:12 PM | Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help my ebay get 0/0 when I start to list the first item.
I use brand new VPN, VM, CC, Bank account, phone number. Also, I purchase some dollar item to push my feedback to 10. Sound normal for buyer account.
However, when I start to list the item, my account became 0/0 immediately. When I call ebay customer service, I am told that they need validate my Drive license and utilies bill.
If this is true, it means we have no way to open stealth account forever since we can not provide the ID validation.
Need help from guru and how I can open a new stealth account without limitation |

| jeffweico | 07-12-2015 11:05 PM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help I would avoid purchasing the dollar items to get 10 feedbacks. That always looks suspicious to eBay, like you are priming the account to sell on it. You DON'T need feedbacks to get sales. YES, it IS better to have feedbacks, but when you are starting out, it is better to let them occur naturally.
Did you set up with Google Voice, by any chance? Or what phone provider did you use? |

| jojo2012 | 07-13-2015 10:33 AM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help I've had my best results on new accounts by waiting just over 30 days before i list. Buying doesn't seem to help. If You make a new account and you have low limits (5/500 or 10/1000) its because eBay is having a hard time verifying you in their public database. Accounts that have a higher listing limit don't seem to have as many problems. So whenever i make a new account & the limits are low i always wait at least 30 days. I also like to go on the account & do some browsing, checking prices etc. Moving slow & steady is your best bet on a new account, especially when the limits are low. |
| Smoothness | 07-13-2015 02:37 PM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help waiting is overkill i believe. i never wait. i just sell same day or week. i just list a bs item overpriced so noone will buy it. i sometimes i do it twice. 3 day auctions. its the phone that makes the account 0/0 |

Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help Yeah don't use GV next time and what was the first item you listed, was it high risk? I like listing a book as my first item |
| Smoothness | 07-14-2015 12:33 AM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help I listed a garden gnome and some shooting ear protection muffs (as is) and a beach chair |
| mayflower | 07-14-2015 05:53 AM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help I use tractone, VPS server, VM, new CC, new bank for this account. The IP is within 50 miles from my mailing address.
Yes, if purchase is not necessary, I will not make 0.99 item purchase next time. Is it real necessary to wait 30 for selling? I have no problem to wait for 30 day before selling item. However, if the trials fail again, I have to create new account and wait another 30 days, the cycle is too long and maybe I can not create new account for 1 year after fail and fail.
Since ebay CS say that they can not find my record in public database, this check always happen. Is any skill to talk with ebay CS to handle this issue? |
| mayflower | 07-14-2015 05:54 AM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help listing book and garden is no problem. However, this kind listing can not create the sale and just listing and let go. |
Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help Limitations are partially based on category, according to the rep I spoke with last night when I got hit with 0/00. She even said it's because of the category I was in. I even asked if I could just sell something different, such as, 'art', and shes like, 'oh yeah, you'd be fine there, there are no new seller limitations for any art categories'. |

Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help GV always lead me to 0/0. A used book is a great item for a new account. |
| solefoodbk | 07-23-2015 05:33 PM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help Listing a popular book for a low price has been proven to work extremely well.
I would do some research on the forum on how to open an account without needing to call eBay. You can call them to get limits raised but its best to know how to open it up correctly so your getting good limits to begin with. |

| ScottieBoi | 07-28-2015 10:15 AM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help I've had only one account that opened with 0/0. She said that it was because the address didn't verify. I could not prove the address, so just scraped the account. Losing a new account is no big deal, as you haven't invested much other than a $5 phone |

| b ettyhoti | 07-28-2015 09:41 PM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help OI think the problem with you guys getting restricted after opening a new account is because you become very greedy and wants to go listing as much as you can . One advise I would like to give you is that trend slowly , I did open myne and sold five items and bought a $0.99 cent book to get a feedback , remember the ebay guys are watching you and following how you use your account in selling and buying . If they fund that you are bluffing them they will restrict your account .So act like its your first time to use ebay be like a rooky and let the account build itself with months as it passes . that is the secret of having a long lasting account which can stay for 6 and over years |

The suspensions for new accounts is fairly random. I doubt it has to do with listing history. |
| Ayusaga | 07-29-2015 02:28 PM | Re: Account is 0/0 when I start to sell, need help Just list a low-risk item initially, and when the item show up in searches, then list what you really want to list. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:00 PM. | |
