Oh my God, I just started tracking IP addresses on my mobile at&t and here is what I found. I logged off of Mediacom cable modem and logged onto AT&T Mobile hot spot. Went to my ip and checked what it was and it was STILL showing my Mediacom IP. What? How the f could that happen. I checked and I was connect to AT&T. Disconnected wire to Mediacom modem and checked again and IP had change? WHAT?

How about we start with the following:
1. How do you connect to your Mediacom Cable Modem? Wifi or Ethernet?
2. Are you making sure to Disable your connection to your Cable Modem?

Turn your phone wifi OFF. and if you still are having issues unplug your router.

I hate to be old school. But I advise against using mobile phones or tablets for stealth. Desktop and Laptops are still the way to go.

I agree in general(tablets can be awesome if you put all the apps together) but he specifically is talking about tethering ATT hotspot from his phone.

I would even remove your modem as a connecting device for your computer so it won't auto connect again by accident.

Just make sure you have the right ip before connect to eBay.. one mistake and you are done...

CLICK OFF CONNECT AUTOMATICALLY.

Also. Ehternet will always be connected. You need to unplug it manually.

COMMON SENSE PLEASE.

what kind of computer are you using?

on a mac, you can program your network order to favor certain connections over others.

its best to disable all other connections while using stealth as a precaution

Always restart your phone

always make your phone forget your wifi password or else it will auto connect if wifi is on

always disable wifi.
