Currently waiting on an email back from eBay on the fate of my powerseller account. They just suspended the account took down 300 listings worth $16000
Here are the facts: 2300 feedback 10 year old ebay account $250000 in lifetime sales $30000 in sales past 2 months 100% positive feedback on 500 transactions 1200 successful transactions the past 2 months
Detailed seller rating:
4.9/5 4.9/5 4.9/5 5/5
Current defect rate: 4.5% on 808 transactions Projected level above standard Defect rate last period 7% on 150 transactions Defect rate previous 10 years: above standard Defect rate this month: 1.2%
So essentially I slipped up for 2 weeks got the defect rate above 5%, immediately took action and I am on my way to top rated status within 3 weeks. Based off my current growth rate I am heading for $600000 in sales this year. IF they do end up keeping my account suspended it is absolutely ridiculous as it will be a loss in potentially millions of dollars in sales, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in eBay fees. I don't understand why they ban sellers with 100% positive feedback from thousands of buyers.
Anyways this business is my income so if they account does get banned I will need to buy another powerseller account to continue my business.

Products are electronic parts and shipping supplies

I live down the street from eBay headquarters. I may just walk right in the front door and demand to speak to someone in person.

Another option is to file a lawsuit in small claims court. Another option is to file a class action lawsuit with thousands of other sellers.

Error message is wrong. It must be something else. I suggest visiting them, if you live nearby, and your account is real.

Are you using a DYNAMIC or STATIC IP??

Seems odd that youre asking us and not calling them.
If you clearly have such good history, they should realize it is a mistake, selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items, or someone sent an email with the words, ⊗⊗⊗⊗, or something.

Updated the description. IP does not matter this isn't a linkeage with a banned account (though I do have banned accounts) this is a problem related to seller defect rate

Can you clarify on that 7% and above standard? I mean you dont state anywhere whether your account was below standard or not at some point. Now what happens nowadays however is when your account falls below standard at some point there is a high risk of this account to have limits removed at the 1st day of the month. I have had it happened and it happened today to my dad and friend, who both had very mature accounts (both 7 years with about 1-2 years selling history) And I personally had few accounts suspended just based on projected standard, which is bizzare.

For a 2 week period I went above 5% defect rate, on my seller evaluation I was at 7% so I was below standard; this was a month ago. I quickly took action and got my account in good standing with a defect rate of 4.4%, or a defect rate of 1% for this month. 4 weeks after the incident I get suspended, even though my account is now above standard.

This is very unusual, can't see a reason why ye would just suspend you for I good reason.

What kind of defects did you have? Were there SNAD cases (counterfeits, severely damaged etc) ?

Defects were from item not as described. When a buyer got a broken item I simply gave them a full refund and closed the case.

When you issue a refund, it counts as a defect. So you've probably had too much cases, and some drunken rep had a bad day, reviewed you acc for 5 seconds, which were enough only to see several NAD cases, and killed it. Happens here and there. So, if a buyer is not happy, you should put all possible efforts to make him close the case with a reason "I accidentally opened a case", and send him back more money that he paid.
