MC008, Temporary Restriction...Contact Proact Appeals
Usually the MC999 or MC008 is an indefinite restriction. However, I received an MC008 that is "temporary". They asked for invoices / documentation of ownership. Yes, I have the sales receipts. No, this is nothing VERO at all. Whats odd is it tells me to email proactappeals at ebay dot com....this is a new one to me. After doing a search on the email address, it seems there is only one other mention of it on this forum from a few years back.
Called customer service, of course they are idiots...told me to email the above mentioned email address. Ummm OK, but WHAT caused the limitation? They said there was no note of it....riiiight. A search for proact ebay comes up as a part of their law enforcement team, working with retailers on possible sales of stolen items. Thats funny, as everything I posted was bought locally at retailers and have the receipts to prove it. I can only assume a competitor either reported the items OR some algorithm was flagged and an ebay rep sent down the ban hammer.
Anyone ever get an email like that? Saying to email proactappeals ? Strange. |
