Funny Ebay scammer example

Hey sellers,

After watching Chelsea waste points and in great mood I decided to share a story happened to me recently.

Sold an item on Ebay ~150GBP in value and the item shipped next day and was delivered within 2 bd's.

3 days later I received email from the buyer complaining item was never received and due to his intelligence I have never owned it (lols) .

I did not have a tracking number due to the system failure within supplier's server but had the delivery confirmation date. So I emailed him with the details and told him I will investigate it thoroughly if the item is missing.

Following day I received positive feedback stating 'item on time and great seller' ( lols)

Funny part is that he tried to run his scam on my ~30fb account with his over 500fb account.

That's about it. If you do not support 'the bus company - Chelski' - Cheers

I get scams every week, that say "i didn't receive the item". These idiots can't even see that the item is traceable, and as soon as I give them tracking number, which says that the item was delivered a week ago, they disappear.

If tracking shows "delivered", defect can be removed by calling in.

If buyer says in PM that he will leave a neg only because he wants to do so without any reasons, it can be removed as well by calling in, as it breaches EB policies.

these jokers usually do not open cases because Ebay would close their account.

btw, that 'buyer' demanded a refund until midnight same day :)

That is why I don't sell too cheap items. They are cheap, so should be sent without tracking to get some profit. And then these scammers come with 10s of DNR cases, and destroy your account.

But with the upcoming ebay defect system update, it should be easier to handle such cases. Don't like something? Refund, block and forget, no worries.

If you look at any medium range seller on eBay its usually ALWAYS the sales under $30.00 that gives them a negative.

90% of those are items under $10.00. Yes that money can add up and it all depends on what your selling but when selling in this category you either need to happily let buyers keep items without returning it, or expect negatives left & right.

Its where the sharks are.

Sometimes it can be legit. I have had an item that I bought say delivered that I never received. It is usually a cheap item so if it does happen and the seller responds with tracking saying delivered I just let it go and buy another elsewhere.

This is why I only use ebay Global Shipping Program. I had a buyer contact me that item was not delivered. Well I only see delivered to Kentucky the place it goes and ebay re-ships it.

Well she opened a case and ebay closed it immediately and removed any defect.

She told me ebay refunded her. Nothing came out of my account.

As we are sharing stories.

I had a women that complained that the Instructions had a tear within the product. I offered her a replacement manual. She refused and stated she should get a full refund! (A manual really!!!).

Well I told her I can ship her a pre-paid label for return. She refused stating she shouldn't waste "time and gas" and she should get a refund.

I professionally continued with apologies and offer to replace or give her 25% discount for her "ripped" manual. She declined again stating she should get a full refund.

She opened a NAD case and I accepted the return. A month later still no return. Then out of blue she left me NEGATIVE feedback and stated that "buyer didn't reply to messages"...

I went back to the case, escalated it, stated that buyer never returned item. Case was closed within minutes and all feedback removed.

She is prolly one pissed scammer right now :boink:

Re: Funny Ebay scammer example

I recently encountered my first partial refund scammer in years. Claimed damage that simply wasn't possible and informed me that "it would not be a positive buying experience" if he could not get $100.00 of his $425.00 refunded immediately.

A quick perusal of his feedback left showed a healthy smattering of red and many positives reporting "great customer service". All this on an account he was also reselling such widgets on.

I felt pressured as I have not been selling much at all this year and a negative would have tanked my feedback score. Sure enough I refunded and got a positive feedback noting "great customer service".

The real bonus was when he sent me a message and told me I was a nice lady and he would be back to buy more!

I put him on my blocked buyers list and even better, since he was in Hawaii, I was able to block his whole state!

Can't say that was a funny scammer story as I wasn't laughing but I did feel good knowing I have him effectively blocked no matter how many accounts he may have!
