Suggestions for how to phrase this?

How would you put this? You're interested in an item, but the seller has immediate payment only. Since you're not willing to pay through checkout (we have finally decided that's not a good idea right?) you need to tell him you're going to pay directly paypal to paypal. The problem? How do you phrase that so you don't look like you're trying to pull something on him? Besides, I do believe you have to link your accounts to pay with immediate payment right? Yeah, THAT'S not going to happen.

Why not buy from a friend's house to make it easier? That's what I would do.

Or I would use a second account to risk buying with.

If I were the seller I would find is suspicious anyway you word it to pay outside of buy it now.

To answer,

1) Wouldn't want to risk a friend's account
2) This is to build feedback on an account I want to offer buy it now.
3) Thanks

I went with my gut and just took a chance. Seller's response - wouldn't need a linked account to buy it now.

That may be true, but I think we've come to the conclusion that using the buy it now through ebay can be a death sentence for your account. Someone correct me if this is wrong but from what I've read here and witnessed, this seems to be the case.

D@mn it's hard finding something to buy on ebay cheap these days!

You mean using "Buy it Now" to buy things and build up your feedback instead of winning them through auctions?

Yes, but only when you pay direct through ebay checkout.
