MC011 - Account Restricted

MC011 - Account Restricted :(

Account was made around 4 months ago 18+ positive selling feedback (no negs - 1 dispute which was refunded instantly).

Just checking through my stealth accounts as i haven't been selling recently and noticed this account had been restricted.

Ebay are asking for Driving license.
Bank statement / Bill
Documentaion of items sold on account.

I did sell some branded t-shirts that are 100% genuine... but other than that not sure why i would randomly get this restriction.

Now for my questions :D -
1) is it worth even the effort to get the documents made
2) likely that documents will atually get this lifted
3) would you just take the money and move on

Any advice would be great this is the first stealth account i have had an issue on, so its all a learning curve for me.

Your branded T-shirts are most likely the reason. Cant sell branded items (or any other high risk items for that matter) on a relatively new seller account that is not an established seller.
I myself would take the money and move on. Simple enough to open a new account and do things properly the next time around.

Unless you don't care for the account, I would say yes, try and provide them with the docs they need and hopefully get your account back up.

Well, I am always in favor of trying to save a lost account, but in this case it comes down to how much time and money it will cost you to provide what they want compared to what you feel the account is worth.

You also have to take into consideration that with PayPal there are no guarantees - you could provide everything they are asking for and still not get re-instated.

What is an account with selling limits of X + 18 positive feedbacks - 1 dispute worth to you? Add to that the fact that you will have burned a bank account if you DON'T save the account.

This one is not an easy decision.

Yeah it's all a learning curve i agree i sold branded items too early on i guess.... but like i said it is atually genuine so i didn't think it was so bad.

The account isn't a massive loss - i still have 2 more backups at the moment (although this one was the oldest and most feedback)

The bank account was an old savings account - so no loss there really as i already had this open before i started eBay stealth.

It kind of depends on how much it would cost to get some documents sorted out as i'm not skilled enough to do that myself and yeah even if the restriction gets taken off in the first place.

The best thing is not sell high value items or branded products on eBay at this point. It seems that unless your big Boxed retailer like Best Buy or Toy R US. They will make every reason or stop at nothing to make our lives as sellers miserable. The seller is second rate citizen on eBay or amazon. eBay and amazon will Make a mountain out of a molehill. They value the buyer more than seller.

I would just move on at this point. No need to waste time. Just be careful. I would buy Acct from the marketplace that aged. Outsource the account making to those who make it a job. Then waste time to make an another stealth. It just merely suggestion.

I would just move on and be careful. Its not worth it to produce all those documents and it ends up not working. Just remember some of eBay support is half way across the world.

I sell clothes for a living so in all honesty, selling branded clothes is not the problem. It's something stealth related.

I sell branded clothes on new accounts all the time with 0 problem.

Thanks for the input maybe a mistake on my part - my other stealth accounts seem fine though and I even sold the same item on them.

Oh well... I will just move on.

Might buy an aged account this time, to save myself some time... its a slow process :(

... as for old account... just leave it as it is? delete the user profile on PC to prevent me logging back onto it?

No reason to get attached to any account. Too much stress. The only thing feedback is useful for is to get the paypal 21 day hold lifted in the beginning. Other than that, it is a fear factor companies institute to keep sellers on a leash. Meaningless. In the end, people want the best price. They dont look at feedback.
