Ebay account restriction asking to verify my personal info....
 

i got this email on my new awesome high limit account. i was reselling expensive items. is it toast?


"We regularly review accounts to keep eBay a safe and fair marketplace for our members. As part of our security checks, we sometimes require a seller to contact us so that we can verify their information.

To verify your account, please contact us by clicking on the link below.

While we're waiting on your response, we've temporarily placed a selling hold on your account. This hold will prevent you from listing new items. Also, if you had any active listings, we've removed them, and placed them in your Unsold folder. We credited any associated fees to your account.

Once we verify your account information, you'll be able to start selling again right away. You'll also be able to relist items from your Unsold folder by clicking Relist to the right of the listing.

no, I get that often, they'll just ask your name and what you intend to sell blah blah

I was selling about 8 of high end electronics. Are they gonna be suspicious?

you should always start out slow on a new account ant low risk items
you will just have to call them and go threw the process

You need to have your story figured before you call, which is items are not from China (especially when you are selling electronics on NEW accounts) and that you are not planning to list more of those. Say that was just a few that you purchased off the local store (name) that went bankrupt.

And you definitely need to look into what you can list and cannot on newer accounts. I believe if you look into a link on ebay for category limits then that will be your red flag for at least 30-60 days
