If you respond to a message from single gmail account, does eBay receive the email address - which could link all accounts as responses are from the same email address?

I understand gmail servers change ip's, but is the email address name not linkable?

from a single gmail, do you mean if you have forwarded all your emails to one single acc?

I do not think ebay sees the holding acc, no....but I would not take the risk.

another user post 2 already mentioned this but you can just use eg. thunderbird or 1 email etc just to 'see' what needs sorting, but reply on the correct user screen and email acc....

if you open any email on say your main user screen the email could leave cookies and more. You can forward emails to one gmail acc and just see that you have any and maybe use preview without opening them...and then if you want to open them properly and/or reply, go to to the user screen for that particular account and open there, as all cookies are held on that screen for that account....

I apologise for bumping the old topic, but there is something in oompaloompa's message that I just wanted to clarify for myself.

does it mean that simply opening email would let Ebay/PayPal to see some info about you through the cookies?

Say, I have a US stealth and managing it via VPN from Thailand. But while I'm on the road, I'm just checking my mail box using local 3G, with local IP obviously. Just checking - not replying or clicking any links/images. So even in this case they are able to detect my IP or I'm getting it wrong?

Please, prove me wrong, because that fact makes me super paranoid)

Doesn't matter how you check your Gmail email, PayPal OR Ebay cannot see anything.....at all, not even your underwear.

Didn't eBay buy ink from?? I've been afraid to use them thinking it is only a matter of time before they'd delve into linking accounts.
