my Ebay account has been restricted
 

I am a private Ebay seller with 17 years and 100% positive, never ever
a complaint or dispute. A few days ago I get a message saying:
It looks like your ********** account is associated with another account, ************, which is currently restricted on eBay. As a result, we’ve restricted the ************* account until you can resolve our concerns.
They cut my limit to 3% of what I was allowed before and I called Ebay and
they insist that I am linked to this other acount which I never heard of. Is
this normal and is there anyone I can contact on Ebay that will help me? I
spoke with a supervisor which was very nasty and hostile towards me.

Did you use your IP to login to another eBay account? Or maybe let someone to do it?

i like how these ppl come on with 1 post and say they are innocent. it's like jail people saying they are innocent lol.

and i doubt your account is 17 years (very few had ebay in 1998) and i doubt you went 17 years and no complaints.

just be honest if you want help mate

I'm the owner of this account.
I'm not the owner of this account, but I may be able to explain why my account has been associated with it.
I don't know this account at all.

I clicked on the bottom two and it asks to call.. does anyone have any information as to what I should do?

Call them. It probably won't get you anywhere, but that's your only option.

You can talk to them until you are out of breath, they are very hesitant to help you if they think you are linked to another account. They may promise to help, just to get you off the phone. Then you will never hear from them again.

The problem is even if you call unless you speak to a manager the chances of this type of limitation getting removed is very very rare.

Tread softly.

Whatever you say to a rep will get noted and the next rep and so on will "compare notes" until the case is closed. Really you best shot is going after a Manager NOT supervisor when calling in. Anyone else 99% will just be wasting your time.

And....

To say you never had a issue in 17 years is defying business. In other words that's impossible.

If you've been on for 17 years then I am assuming it is an actual account. If anything why don't you lawyer up?
