Same street address different unit number
 

Suppose my current eBay account is associated with "123 Main St, Suite D", can I register a new eBay account using my friend's address of "123 Main St, Suite G" without the two accounts being linked?

the 123 is the bit that needs switching around.
it is number and zip that is recognised by a bot.
try suite G, and 123 on second line.

A manual review might spot it.....but hopefully not a bot.

@dreamshape, the similarity in address is too close - you need to vary it more or look at other options e.g. pobox

Seems crazy to me, of course all of eBay's policies are crazy. Nothing new. But, if you live in an apartment complex that has 200 apartment numbers under the same street address, everybody's account that has ever lived there are linked? So, if anyone's account ever goes down, anyone that lives there or moves in there in the future could lose their accounts? That's insane that they don't take that into consideration.

It certainly is taken into consideration by ebay/Paypal. One large apartment building would have dozens or more buyer accounts. Some of those will also sell of course.

That does not mean that it is a good idea to use a very similar address as your previously banned account.

ebay/paypal might want a Photo ID and proof of address more often in those places. They might have extra phone verification or more often. They may want you to call in etc..

if you are going to do this then anyway the 123 should not be at start, you need the different suite numbers first on any address line - otherwise they are the same address...

Do not even think of putting in an apartment number that does not exist.

So many options exist for viable addresses that don't need to just use this simple variation OP - you can do better

some of my longest and best ebays i made 5-6 years ago were just made up addresses from ⊗⊗⊗⊗namegenerator and they are still making sales.

If the street # will link it as well, wouldn't it be a fair assumption that most Post Office Boxes and UPS Store addresses would be blacklisted too?

I actually tried this when I first got into stealth with two accounts.

One of the two accounts was suspended for invoices and the other one is still standing. I sold too fast on it... it wasn't suspension for defects n such

For every account unjustly closed, we should send eBay a box of poop. It's not very hard to do. I could ship 2 a day. We can work together.
