Previously "MC999 Indefinite" restored?

Very strange find... for some reason I felt inclined to log onto my old ebay accounts that were suspended back in 2012 (these were ALL linked together under my name, legit information) and to my surprises 4 out of 5 had limits 100/10k limits, one even had 250/25k.

All of these got suspended due to my MAIN ebay account at that time, which is still 0/0, but my alt accounts are seemingly up and ready to go.

I doubled checked my emails to ensure these were actually suspended back then and every single one got the same "MC999 Indefinite Selling Restriction" letter back in 2012. These were all hard-linked to my main (same ip, PC, address, name, paypal)

Chances are if I try to list they'll all get suspended again-- but I'll definitely try soon :peace:

Thought I'd share, if you got suspended a few years back and had alt accounts/maybe some family accounts go down with you, they might be alive again-- if you have an IP to burn check it out.

My acc got selling privileges removed a year ago. Limits still there, can only buy.

If only I could remember my old user names and passwords, I used to have a similar setup before my first suspension.

I'll be able to list, but I would not be surprised at ALL if after I do I get a renewal mc999 shortly after.

I'm going to build cookie trust for a few weeks, buy a few things ect. and then try to list the lowest possible risk item I can think of, and see if I can slowly build trust with them under my real name again.

I was thinking, this all happened when I was living at an old address, maybe the new people moved in, got limited, and were able to convince eBay to un-blacklist the address and every account (except the offender acc that caused the blacklist) got renewed.

Just a thought, very random.

I highly doubt that's the case. its simply not how ebay operates.
When the limit accounts they'll take down all accounts they feel are involved. When they reinstate accounts it is usually on a case by case bases.
The dominos will only ever fall in one direction.

Re: Previously "MC999 Indefinite" restored?

No idea... I never made ANY attempt to reinstate these accounts, or phoned/appealed them. I did make a few attempts on my main around the time of the MC999 that were denied but the day these went down I completely forgot about them, I KNOW they were at 0/0 around this time though.

Probably going to jump back down to 0/0 the second I post a listing... I'll post how that goes when I get there.

yes please do keep us updated on this situation. Would be interesting to know if any of my decade old accounts I lost years ago have the slightest chance of being saved. Would be nice.

Good to share but don't rely solely on these linked accounts

might be because 2012 was before they did selling limits?

i had a mc999 ebay reinstated after a year or two. I don't think it was the main and I had to call in. rep basically said after 6 months they delete records and she didn't know why it was suspended and put it back. certainly not the norm, might of been a bad rep.

don't mean to give your hopes up but if you don't list after a while maybe a year or two, your limits go to 0. you have to call in, if you had a big account they'll give you 50% or more of your limits back. if it was small it'll be the basic 10/$1,000. But chances are they will find out it's blocked and put 0 in there.
