Suspended for ridiculous reason
 

Got this message today:

Your eBay account has been suspended for 30 days because of a violation of the eBay Feedback Manipulation policy. The following information led to our decision:

The story like this:
1 week ago i got this feedback : Super Fast Response Well Satisfied
This is from buyer have 365 fb
yesterday i got same feedback from another buyer but he just copy this buyer comment.

Today got suspended because MC034 FB NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - Feedback Manipulation

What the hell of eBay here.
all of this feedback from my real buyer.

Need to open new account but what can we do to make sure buyer didnt copy comment from previous buyer to avoid this tragedy happen again?

:eek:WHAT!!!That is absolutely preposterous AND terrifying, that they would link you for such a simple, uncontrollable AND coincidental connection!:confused: WOW! After reading this particular thread I'm further convinced, to the point of 100% positivity that the only route to success left, on the obstacle course that is SillyBay, is to dig a hole under the obstacle course using the stealth tools in the E-book and this forum. And then, when you make it to the other side, dig a bunch of other holes under the obstacle course and then help new members of the forum dig holes until the obstacle course implodes and is as useless as a pile of trash that serves no more purpose then a road sign ABOVE a highway that you familiarly travel on everyday. But you must first dig deep in thought before you can dig a hole under SillyBay. Confucius say!:cool::p

As for the question "what can we do about it?". I'm assuming the only thing we can do, (considering Stinge-EBay does not give a dam about what we say)is hope your buyers will care enough to heed a note or a plea placed on all of your auction listings. Perhaps you could throw something in your return policy like-

"We do offer a --- day return policy.If the item is returned within --- days you will receive a full refund after item is mailed back.A POSITIVE feed back WILL be given as soon as payment is received(provided payment is made within the
payment deadline) even if you decide to return an item you WILL ALWAYS receive positive feedback if the item was paid for on time.We ask that you reflect this courtesy upon us by also leaving positive feedback for us.
And for both of our sakes.
PLEASE DO NOT COPY AND PASTE OR USE THE SAME EXACT WORDING IN YOUR FEEDBACK AS FEEDBACK ALREADY GIVEN TO US BY ANOTHER BUYER, as it may cause ebay's automated computer system to falsely interpret this as feedback manipulation." :D
Maybe something like this could have prevented your problem. I hope Ebay wouldn't frown on this though, saying it calls their system faulty or something.
Well try and find out.

the eBay system is crazy right now..
they will ban our account with weak of reason like this..
as a BUYER, sometime we lazy to create the own comment then just copy and paste
but eBay will suspended with feedback manipulation

I wonder if eBay did that automatically or as a result of a report.

That means of course anyone can go and buy from a seller with some 0 feedback accounts. Then leave them positive feedback with the same message and instantly the seller is taken down. If it's not automatic, they could still go and then do a report to eBay.

Scary!!! I wonder how long until that starts happening!


Though for azlanxp's circumstance. Wouldn't the two buyers be verified as living in different parts of the country or countries, maybe by paypal as well as IP?

Ebay's crazy, that was totally out of your hands man. I feel for ya!

Yes, why aren't their sophisticated flash cookies and IP address cross checking being applied to these situations to find out the truth BEFORE they suspend us sellers?
