Starting completely over... everything under legit business. Will it work?
 

Is it a good idea to start everything new under a business name (dba)? I plan to get a p.o box, business phone number, open a banking account under my business name, and register for a new paypal/ebay account under the business name as well. Will this work and is there anything I should watch out for?

Also, I have an ebay account that's been open since march 2008 (I opened it using aspkin's tips at the time). It's not suspended. However, I haven't purchased or sold anything on the account. Is the account good OR is it just good because there hasn't been any activity?

Why not use the first account?

Well... like I said, there has been no activity on the account. So I don't want to start selling and then get suspended right after. That's why I asked whether the account is actually good or is it just good for now since I haven't used it yet.

If that account was correctly created, it can be used. On my 'sleepers'I go slowly at first.I buy items, get my FB going, have a fully verified paypal. Then move to selling. Nothing that I sell is vero or high risk.

Not to disregard your suggestion of a DBA as that could work as well. Just the work & costs to create that type of account would need to be thought about
carefully. You could use the first account, have that working then think about
the DBA account later. (just my thoughts)

Don't waste your time creating the account with a DBA. If you need to sell quickly make up any name and sell!!!

If you already have an account then list cheap items lying around your house and get atleast five feedback by doing so. Then list 2-3 of your regular items and increase quantity as you recieve feedback.
