After reviewing your eBay account, recent activity has raised serious security concerns. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Your eBay account has been suspended.
- Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.

You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account. Any outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

How can ebay do that? How can new user sell an iphone?

Very risky first item, they probably checked the info on your account, ran it through a database and didn't like what came back.

Was it a BIN or auction? eb doesn't like BIN on new accounts

Did you verify a bank on your pp? I think eb can still see this, and without a bank acc attached it's more in line with people who sale and run

real or stealth, listing an iphone 1st item is going to trigger a manual review-- the fact they cold-suspended you without a chance to prove yourself probably means they really didn't like something about your account.

this acct has only $500 limit..


no big deal... just wonder how new people sell big items.


these days, i feel ebay is tighten the new users limit both for buying and selling.

Having lots of account maturing is KEY .

paypal and ebay are going postal with new accounts.

They want "good" from the start.

They set the controls hard too.

Ebay does this to protect themselves.

Think about it, the average new user will sign up to ebay, look around and bid on a few things. If they feel the need to sell things it would most likely be used things lying around the house.

However almost always scammers sign up and list the most expensive , brand name items they can find to make fast money.
They have no idea which you are so they just do what is less risk to their company.

Which is why you need to earn trust and have a good reputation with ebay before it would be okay to list such a thing.

Short answer - new user CANNOT sell an Iphone as they consider that a very high risk item (not that a new user would know that).
That's just how ebay has evolved into doing things in the last few years. Got to adapt. Unfortunately people have no idea this is the way things are until its too late...

And yes new user can sell iPhone.
