Adding EIN to a Stealth Paypal Account
 

Hi everyone!

I purchased a Stealth account about 2 months ago and things have been going great. But yesterday I received some of the potential buyers said they could not pay for my products because my Paypal did not accept payment.

Then I logged on to Paypal and I saw the "Provide your tax reporting information"

Then I chose "I use my employer identification number. If you select this, we'll ask you to upgrade to a business account"

Next I chose "Upgrade my account"

Then Paypal showed the "We're sorry" message which wants me to call them.

I have the SIM card when I purchase the stealth account. So the phone number should be the same as the registered phone on Paypal. Is it safe to call them and ask to add the EIN for the paypal and upgrade to a business account?

Will they ask me anything about the address/previous address, and what if they said there is no such person existed? (Or will they ever ask such kind of questions?) I have heard that members suggested to use a random previous address, and said their name is not existed in database because they are serving in secret organization. So I would like to know if that is the right way to go.


I have all the information written on a piece of paper (email, telephone , current registered address (f.ake), birthday (f.ake), Name (f.ake), Credit Card (f.ake. I think they might ask me the last 4 digits. So another thing that worried me is, Will they able to find out the credit card is f.ake? or are they just asking the last 4 for security)


Currently I am still not able to receive payment from buyers on eBay, but I will wait for everyone's suggestion and instructions to proceed cause I really do not want to mess up anything.

I think at this point, you HAVE to call them and have them add the EIN, there's no other way around it (I think someone added a random SSN to unluck, then upgraded to business and added EIN, but that seems sketchy to me). From what I've read from users who've done this, the conversation goes with them insisting you use your SSN, and you insisting you use your EIN, until they finally add the EIN. They didn't mention them asking you personal questions.

Were you checking your paypal emails? They should have send you 2 'friendly' requests to add this information, before they limit the account.

just got the same email yesterday.
today call paypal to put the EIN manually, but they asked me to upload my ein instead put them via phone.
do i just need to make a new business account instead upgrade it?

They don't have aNY ss. Number. What they are asking is normal, I'm sure you had a couple warning emails prior to this. Anyway the best way to do it now is to call and add the EIN number, they're not going to ask you a whole bunch of questions outside of what you already have written down.
