Default Poor shipping speed.

I sell on Etsy, EB, and AZ.
Etsy and AZ are my best venues....EB is so-so.
In any event, I'm always late, shipping my items to EB customers.
My Late Shipment Rate is a whopping 47%.

I haven't seen a warning yet, but when I posted an item to EB today, I saw a msg pop up stating that they may hold my payments until they clear.

If I lose this EB account, I won't cry, tho I have had it for over 2 years (as stealth).

Anyone know of a fast way to improve on Shipping Rate?
Even if I start shipping all my items by the next day, it'll take too long, I fear, to dig out of 47%. I'm only selling about 10 items/week on EB right now.

You're going to be suspended anyday if you keep that up.

47% is absolutely terrible, no offense. You need to change your handling time to 2-3 days and start shipping everything priority mail if you really want to keep this account. Also you need to start selling 50+ items a week.. hell maybe even 200+ a week to get 47% to 5-10%. I'd stock up on cheap items and sell quick.

You won't be able to survive long term on any of those three websites if you don't get your shipping speed up. Hope for the best

Might have to provide an explanation on your listings for the shipping - be apologetic in advance

on AZ and Etsy, my shipping is very quick. Within 1 or 2 days, and I always send via Priority mail. They are both in excellent condition. It's just EB that I've been lax on.

Yeah, maybe if I found something at the dollar store, and burned thru them at 200/week....

I dunno. You all are better experts at this than me. I was basically wondering if you all were going to say it's a sunk ship, or if I do have a chance to save it.

If you do the math, I think we're looking at something like this aren't we?

I buy an item for $2.
Blow it out for $1.
1st class mail with tracking: $2.60
Sell 500 of them.

I think we're looking at a cost of $1,000 to save this account, aren't we?
I'd be better off buying a new account.

If you choose to buy another account, you need to make sure you have a plan of action so this doesn't happen again!

We have about 500 SKU's.
Each one is made to order.
Imagine having something like Tshirts, with the option of 500 different logo's, and you don't make them, until ordered.

We don't do Tshirts...but you get the idea.
Well, we got hit so hard with orders, we couldn't keep up....

Agreed.
We are changing our business model. We have to, in order to grow properly.
We'll premake only certain sku's, and move them to FBA. That'll fix the shipping delay.

But, back to my current issue....
Would you folks try and save this EB account, or just start anew ?

Worth saving if it hasn't gone down yet. As has been mentioned, just increase your dispatch time in settings for the listings. Work out what is a realistic time for you to make the items after they are ordered and things should eventually come back around. If ebay ask, explain they are custom made items and you hadn't realised there was an option to extend dispatch. Also, the option for a cheap item is good to bring it down far quicker.

So it's a logistics issue, not really a shipping out problem....got it. Hope you can find a solution.
