ID Verification during Registration
 

Hey guys, is it ok if I let eBay call my home number to get verified after registering a new user even though when I got suspended i was verified again with my home number? ,,, They don't keep your home number on file do they? :confused:

During the last couple of days I registered under several ID's and never did receive any calls from ebay to verify the data I gave to them.

They may keep the phone number on file but I think it is most unlikely that they use this number to actually give you a call.

Bulletooth, I think they do keep it. And if you give them a landline phone they can trace it to an address. If anything give them a cell phone number, they can't trace that.

Hm, I dont even give them my real cell phone number. I just give them some ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number. In if one day they have to verify me. I just go oh, thats an old number let me give you a different one. (gets buds phone) uh yes verify me now! Just dont want them to magicly call my buds phone or anyone else so I just use one i make up and I dial it first of course to see if its someone real number lol

but mind you, because this is eBay Canada while registration the ask for credit card number which is probably not a good idea because they probably match the card info to the given info. If phone number is given 2 seconds later you get an automated call with a 3 digit pin number.

I heard of a yahoo temporary phone number. I forgot who metioned it, but they said it worked.
