ebay suspension/ tracking mac address
 

hello everyone sorry if this seems like an old or silly question but I just recently got my account suspended and have since opened a new account on ebay already I have a new ip address new phone and mailing address already set up and been doing good for the past week my main question is I have my laptop that I used to use on my old account I just dropped it off to get wiped clean and reinstall new OS will ebay or paypal be able to track the mac address?
I looked this up before people said no years ago but not sure if the rules have changed any help is appreciated

if you let them run a java application, then yes

There are complex ways to track a MAC address.
Ebay employs none of those.
I wouldnt worry about it. Just be sure to do everything properly and youll be fine.

@frank3n I'm using a MacBook pro does that even use java?
@slokor thank you so much so as long as I follow protocall on all other aspects ie. ip address, bank accounts, physical address etc. ill be fine, just been so nervous to start using my laptop again. thank you again for you time

That can use java. Found some instructions to check:

1) Click on Apple icon on upper left of screen.
2) Go to System Preferences.
3) Click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel.

I would use VM. You never know when eBay will decide to detect MAC address in the future. Also you can create a new amz account never know when that will come in handy.
