Newly suspended on Ebay, numerous small questions
 

Hey everyone,

Great forum, after the few hours of my stomach turning, I feel like there is a way out of this.

I have some questions for everyone.

This "buying" an account, please help me understand how this works, do I need to wipe cookies, flash and get a new IP and that's it? I assume it doesn't come with a paypal, but who are the names associated with the accounts, etc.

Is reinstatement process a waste of time?

I use shipstation, can I just generate a new token and use the same shipstation I use now?

I have some other questions, but these would really help me a lot to start.

Buy the $20 eBook. Will answer most questions.

Reinstatement process isn't a waste of time, might as well try. Worst case, you don't get your account back but have the eBook that shows you how to get back online.

Buying an account gets you a new eBay, Paypal and email usually and the names are random. Read the forums and the stealth guide to understand more as its too much to explain and repeat when its out there,

Create a new user on your computer to keep things separate and get a new dedicated IP. Again, the guide and forums give your other ways and solutions.

A great alternative to look in to are portable browsers, you can keep things very organized under 1 windows user, with different folders (containing the browser) for each account you are operating.

The reinstatement was not successful.

Any feedback regarding the ship station question?

And lastly, regarding my old listings, can I use the same content/photos etc? Or will this be a flag?

Is there any evidence of this being necessary? I have thousands of photos.

I can understand the text of the listing, but how is it substantively different when its basically all the same listings?

In essence, you're saying I can't sell the inventory I have now, if I understand you.

yes sell the stuff u have now .. I just saying take new pics Clear META DATA from the pics
write a new listing not just copy and paste .. U know about meta data in your pics right ??

I believe you can strip away all the data for the images but I forgot the site some of the guys have suggested from before. Then maybe you can resize them all at once. That should be good enough.

Now you just need the site, if someone can suggest it?

Ok, I got it. No, I wasn't aware of picture metadata, but I am now.

Not to belabor it, but is there any evidence that ship station shares data?

You can always use a different camera for your new account that hasn't been used previously.

Also, some stealthers say it is good also to use a different browser.

For example, if you used Internet Explorer on the account that got suspended, use Firefox or Google Chrome. And once you start, DON'T delete cookies, as Ebay gets suspicious if cookies get deleted constantly.

There's no need for a new Camera, all you gotta do is strip the metadata off the images....done, no need to spend more money than necessary.

I understand the metadata clearly, and have already started using the tool mentioned, excellent suggestion

My narrow focus on images is because I have uniquely branded products. If I take new pictures, will the brand name become an issue? I have taken a body of new photos, but they have the brand on the label. To be clear, its a brand I created that nobody else sells.

Does this clarify?

Secondarily, having these branded pics on channels such as etsy or amazon with a similar name to the other account (for example EBAY store name was EEE-companee, etsy store also EEE-companee, and amazon EEE-companee)

So my EEE-companee products suddenly appear on ebay with the same branded pics as exist on other sales channels, and match the name of a banned account.

This is rather narrow, I know. I guess the question is, does anyone have data on whether images are matched across different platforms looking for similarities?
