Hi Ebay community,

i dropship from an local online-shop to ebay.

it works fine to me.

but i get sometimes the out-stock issue, also i do the listing manuely,

could you please recommend where i can find the developera who can creat a tool to track the stock and to list easily.

Might try freelancer or fiverr but be careful of a) solicitations from random ppl here or b) ppl potentially stealing your business.

It's a touchy issue but hope you find the developer among the wise ppl here

There are dozens of Inventory Management software options already available so there's no need to commission a developer to make you a custom one. Inventory monitoring/updating across multiple platforms is a common feature for that kind of software.

I've written small automation tools before, and I agree with phas0rz - look for inventory management software that's already out there. Cheaper and more reliable that way.
Most of them will now allow you to handle inventory from a smartphone - including scanning barcode labels if that's useful for you.

but i think i couldnt explain what im realy looking for: let make an exemple

i dropship from (e.g)Nike.com

all the dropshipping tools i found dont support my source in this case nike.com

is there a way to creat a tool to track the stock from my source nike.com

You would need access to their main database, and they're never going to give a one horse shop that kind of access.

Yes thats right,

thats the only way to track the stock and price change :(

and for that you need to get the permission and when you go to ask them for it , they refuse and they start to sell on ebay by themselves ;(

Sounds like you need something more custom... I recommend UPWork and posting your project. There are hundreds of thousands of developers for good prices that can create pretty much anything.

that is very common. We use Inventory Source as a third party intermediary with all of the suppliers we use. IS gets the master data, and inventory and price changes each day, each hour, real time, whatever. From IS, I can choose which items I want to carry, and then IS will push that to my master inventory, or to my online shop, Amazon, eBay, whatever.

Works like a charm. You pay for what you get, but if you are serious, this is serious software. They have about 200 suppliers, and will work with yours, if you ask and pay for the customization.

Im not really educated in this area... But wouldnt the source where he wants to pull the info from need to have a API?

The supplier needs to open the file to an API, or publish a flat file to an FTP site, and then you need to bring in the files or connect by API. That is a little technical, but can be done.

We choose to outsource that connection to InventorySource as an intermediary.

Might want to learn iMacros. The standalone, not the browser plugin.

It can easily visit your supplier's site every day and make a spreadsheet of all your products. If you then scrape the stock inventory, you will see "0" or "out of stock" listed in your spreadsheet for those critical products.

it can also move shipping info from your Ebay page to an order form.

as vidim said, you can try iMacros to read the website and update your spreadsheet. Another alternative would be using google spreadsheet to read the required info directly from the website and update google sheets. But the last step needs to be done manually in these cases: updating the ebay listing with the acquired info.

I think the best way to do this would be reading the data with php and immediately updating the listing. Please note that in a non api way of gathering data, each simple design change in the source website will require you to update the script. But the whole idea is not so hard to do, if you find a reliable coder. Finding a reliable coder is the main challenge actually.

I'm in the middle of commissioning a Order management software. as far as ebay and amazon go, the app will automate many manual tasks such order extraction, sending generic messages or responses messages, update order status and tracking details in bulk.

I know that each ebay/amazon account will have its own auth token which will be unique to that account, however my concern is the developer key being the same, I plan to set the Proxy IP and port for each ebay/amazon account so hopefully that should cover that side of things,

I plan to run it on Ghost Browser and if could also operate the app on an account by account basis i.e open everything related to one account in one profile of ghost browser therefore it has its its own cookies and proxy, and the second account would be opened in a second profile which have could have separate set of cookies and proxy to the first account, therefore there would be no mixing of the cookies and proxies.

I'm wondering would that be sufficient, i.e the developer key to remain the same, but to set each auth key to be accessed by a set proxy through a set profile on ghost browser, I hope i'm making sense.
