I've asked myself this question many times.

Some of them do give the listings a more professional look, but I'm also conscious of the growing number of folk buying via their phones where clarity and simplicity is probably better. There's also the issue, albeit small in todays high speed world, of pages not loading correctly.

I've decided to use ebays stock clean template and keep 'clutter' to a minimum. I'm more than happy to be persuaded otherwise.
