Check on Your eB listing Without Regards to IP
 

This app is limited to 20 listings. But, the data is pulled directly from eB's database so it doesn't affect your hit count or send your IP to eB. Not sure if eB even cares about the IPs making API calls, but all they'll get is my Gopappa hosting IP. Pictures are not displayed for obvious reason.

Seems like a check to see what a seller is selling WITHOUT looking into ebay.

Anyone know what info Goofbay send in when you use it?

IP of the server, my stealth appID and the query name. The request is sent to the developer's gateway so it's not monitored by safe harbor. It's definitely safer than going into eb to do a search on the seller, since it won't show you ip or your browser signature.

If you're unsure about the app, use your competition's name. Error trapping is minimal, but a blank page usually means there's nothing listed.

If you are using your own server, you can try TWP auctions, easy to setup and good to track all of your auctions without logging in.

The point of this exercise is to get max info about your listings while providing least amount of tracking to eb.

Using the affiliate app mentioned, you'll be putting up homing beacons on your domain, and the pictures will log your ip into eB. All without getting the benefit of your sales info. Besides, if you want a RSS feed like that, just replace user "tigerdirect" with your id. There's no need to hand over your domain whois to eb.

Oh, BTW those private domain registrations that you paid extra for don't work. Just call the registrar and they'll spill the beans.

Nope, I don't need to. eB and PP love me. They invite me to all their events and I don't even sell on there regularly. They even wanted to profile me on one of their blogs.

They know about my ~15 accounts but not the other 50-60 that I don't want them to know.

Then why are you an stealth forums?
