my last account i was on almost 2 years with turbo lister
the account before was a little over a year.

My very first new account showed up on my second account.

Trash it and read the book.

You do not need it anyway, to many other ways to list and easier then turbo sucker!!

Turbo Lista is awful and not at all safe. Big chance of linking if you do not watch what you do. bad bad bad program.

Can I import the TLB file into TL on a new PC with a new IP, name account okay and use them? I was planning on changing some S/H fees and the template inside, and subsequently uploading the auctions on my new account. Since they do not store the pics I think we need to retake those, but I have to move this inventory as it is losing a TON of value sitting! Damn Ebay

i didnt log on to it but can they link me this way?
i think so but im not sure?
You did not pull it out of the registry. I would recommend doing it on a different PC and then only importing the TBL file, editing your information and then using. I am new here, but I am a computer nerd and that seems to be the only way to do it safely.

Greetings, I have been suspended from eBay and I am going through the steps to remove everything from my computer. Turbo Lister unistall keeps giving me an error message

TLReg.exe Application Error. The instruction at"0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000" the memory could not be read. Click on ok to terminate program.

The uninstall stops and I don't seem to be able to go beyond this point. Any thoughts?

Default Turbo lister tracking

From what I can tell, Turbo lister connects to eBay on startup, even if you are not aware of it.

You would not want to start TL when you have cookies on your machine that belong to another account (stealth, or suspended ebay account)

TL also keeps a windowless browser open.

(sometimes an internal bug causes this browser's window to show up, with the heading
"About: Blank" this is the programmatic title of a hidden browser window)

IT MEANS THAT IF YOU CLOSED ALL BROWSERS IN ORDER TO WIPE COOKIES ON YOUR PC, AND TL IS STILL OPEN, THERE IS AN OPEN BROWSER STILL SITTING THERE YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT.

CLOSE TL WHEN CLOSING BROWSERS - IT IS A BROWSER.

^^^^^^^^
That is why it has been stated many times to NOT use Turbo Lister.
Auctiva (when working) is 1000X better.

Just finished runing Turbo Lister in a real-time debugger.
(there is symbolic debugging infromation still left in the TL executable! no wonder it's so slow)

Confirmed:
There is a data READ request from the memory location whre the NIC MAC address is stored.
there are many other READ requests from system data area. So it is gathering hardware ID data, I cannot tell what. But this would be data that is unique to a computer.

YOU CANNOT USE TURBO LISTER WITH A STEALTH ACCOUNT IF YOU HAVE EVER USED IT BEFORE ON THE SAME COMPUTER.

DOES NOT MATTER HOW MUCH YOU CLEANSE AND REFORMAT.
IF ANY OF YOUR HARDWARE ID'S STAY THE SAME (YOUR ETHERNET CARD, YOUR CPU SERIAL NR, YOUR HARD DRIVE SERIAL) TURBO LISTER WILL LINK YOU TO THE OLD ACCOUNT.

YOU NEED COMPLETELY NEW HARDWARE IF YOU INSIST ON USING TL.

I WOULD SUSPECT THE SAME GOES FOR BLACKTHORNE.

This is more insidious than tracking by IP, Flash, and cookies put together.

Don't re-use any of the old hardware in the new computer,
Even a change of OS will be needed (avoid same Windows serial nr)

I used Turbo lister 2 before, uninstalled... as long as I never use it again will I be fine? It doesn't seem right, I could buy a computer and the previous owner could get me banned from ebay.

DO not ever reuse any file exported or created by Turbo lister other than .CSV files

.TBL is not safe
it embeds your user information into the binary file format.

even .CSV will need some cleansing.
for one thing, the listing text will have to change,

Also any Auctiva showcase code cannot stay, it contains references to your old ID.

Ahhh.... the previous owner conundrum...

The previous resident at your street address could have been suspended.
the previous owner of your phone number, also.
past users of your dynamic IP, ditto.

But who said you should buy someone else' s used computer?

a machine used for eBay needs not be cutting-edge fast. Your actual working speed is limited by eBay's page load time anyways.
So I'd rather buy older, slower hardware, but buy it new.
1.8GHz cpu's, PC2500 or PC3000 DDR memory.
Check tigerdirect warehouse, they always sell new desktop systems for under $300 that use 2-3 year old technology. This won't be a performance gaming machine, right?
Or just replace the MOBO CPU, HDD and NIC, probably about $220

I don't like used stuff.... who knows what contagious disease the prior owner died of...

I thought about buying a new computer for stealth when I saw turbo lister 2 was downloaded on my computer... I don't remember downloading that??? If it's uninstalled should I worry about it? There's better, safer than turbo lister.

If you don't want TL, the just reformat the bloody hard drive.

But if you have TL and you don't remember downloading it, then there may be a problem with keeping close track of your actions, which is crucial in stealthing.

maybe some contamination of old and new may already have occured if you cannot remember exactly what you did....

I downloaded at some point and uninstalled before I started the new... reformatting the hard drive is a pain because of photography business.

EXACTLY!

Before I even started my 1st Stealth Ebay account, I did a complete reformat and restore of my computer. It is 100% worth the 5 hours it will take to do so.

And I highly recommend doing the same for anyone. Especially if Turbo Lister was used on your PC at any time.

I have NEVER been suspended nor linked since buying the Stealth Book and finding this forum.

OK
don't reformat the photo business
just get a new internal HD and set it as drive 2 and install new OS

Any decent BIOS from the past 8 years should allow you to choose to boot from Drive 1 or Drive 2

In any case the format (or whatever way you use to clean the PC)
MUST GET RId OF THE WINDOWS REGISTRY FILE.

You cannot know all the entries that TL makes in the registry , which it can later read back to see what it did in previous installations. TL makes registry entries which ARE NOT identified by the name "Turbo Lister" or any recognizable name, only by long cryptic numbers.

You COULD just erase the entire registry file, since Windows is quite adept at recovering from registry deletions. Windows would then rebuild a registry with default settings, but then all your customizations, and installed software right from day 1 would be lost.

You'd be back at the meadow screen, being asked to activate Windows,

then they can't use ebay software with a new selling identity

I thought th objective was stealthing safely, not reusing old hardware.

you set your own priorities, and live with the consequences
