Shipstation Questions I heard of several people having good service with this program, but I wish to confirm:
1) I can print postage/labels right onto envelopes
2) I can add several account w/o linking
3) The costs?
Thanks. I tried searching but did not find much relevant. |

Yes. Or labels, or whatever else you want. 2) I can add several account w/o linking
Given their setup, PROBABLY. The reason I say this is their rep told me there is no way the accounts could be linked. HOWEVER - all it would take is ONE CHANGE in their programming, and it is possible that it COULD happen. So, I have 1 ShipStation account linked to 1 eBay and 1 Amazon account. Of course, this means paying more and having several ShipStation accounts. But it is worth it to me. 3) The costs?
It is about $45 per month for one ShipStation account and that includes an Endicia account, which is necessary to make it work.
ShipStation offers WONDERFUL automation. I pay about $300 per month and have it on my higher volume accounts. But it makes shipping VERY EASY. With one click, it downloads the orders, verifies the addresses, prints the packing slips and labels, uploads all of the tracking information back to eBay/Amazon and leaves positive feedback if you want. Those accounts save the labor of what would be, for me, very close to a full-time person.
I have a couple of test accounts and lower volume accounts where it does not pay for me to use ShipStation, so I don't. But for the higher volume accounts it saves HOURS of time each day.
Hands down, the BEST shipping solution I have found. And NO, I don't own the company, nor do I receive any compensation from them. |
Re: Shipstation Questions Alright, thanks. I know you do not work for them :) - I have seen many posts where you were asking about them and etc too back in the past.
Just in a lot of the posts people said they would not trust the site, because it was new - but that is probably with all of their babies.
$45 would not be bad at all if I were moving many sales, or had a nice margin. But the one I wanted to do it with was only going to make $.10 per transaction - for some good feedback. |
| dsblazer | 01-24-2014 10:24 AM | Re: Shipstation Questions I just got in ShipStation too and love it so far. Makes things a lot easier and I wish I had done it earlier. I have an amazon and eBay account in 2 different names, I haven't taken the plunge yet to link them both to shipstation because I am super paranoid and careful about these sorts of things.
How would it work if you have 2 return addresses, 1 for your eBay account with one name and one for your amazon account with another?
Jeff- I'm also wondering if that "one" programming change is realistic (I hope not) that would link everything together. Just deciding how I should proceed... |
Re: Shipstation Questions $45 a month is pretty d*mn decent - nice option for the US |
| rockitaway | 04-05-2014 08:43 PM | Re: Shipstation Questions This is unlikely but, be sure not to manually combine orders to same buyer from different (ebay) stealth accounts, as same tracking number will be sent to both stealth accounts. (linking them) |
Re: Shipstation Questions Curious if you ever used all your ebay accounts under one shipstation account?
I am thinking of doing the same thing. |
| jeffweico | 12-31-2014 12:19 AM | Re: Shipstation Questions I have. And it does seem to work - HOWEVER:
All of my important accounts have only 1 eBay and 1 Amazon hooked to 1 ShipStation.
7 months ago, I tried setting it up with 3 new eBay accounts and 3 new Amazon accounts. All of the accounts are currently fine. THE TRUE TEST, HOWEVER, WILL COME WHEN ONE OF THE ACCOUNTS GOES DOWN! The thing is, often someone will cut corners or do something they shouldn't and nothing bad immediately happens, so they have a false sense of security. Because when accounts are running fine, eBay usually leaves them alone. It is only after an account goes down that we find out whether the method REALLY WORKS or not.
So, on balance, I would have to say I DON'T KNOW if it will work. It CAN be set up, but until an account gets suspended and the other 2 keep running, I won't know for sure. |

But it does not have canada post light packet option....... |
| jeffweico | 09-15-2015 08:22 PM | Re: Shipstation Questions Just to update my post (above) from 12/31/2014, All three accounts are still alive and well. It has been well over a year now, so I am willing to go out on a limb and say multiple accounts are fine. I would STILL be careful, though. |
| epimetheus039 | 09-17-2015 05:38 PM | Re: Shipstation Questions I have been running it since May 2013 and I have used over 200 accounts both from eBay and Amazon and I can confirm that software doesnt cause any linkage. |

When you first link a store though, Shipstation connects to eBay (opens a new browser window to ebay.com) and has you login so that you authorize Shipstation to get your order information.
I'm assuming this has to be done under the IP and computer user account you would normally use to get to that ebay account. Is this correct? |
| imsteath | 01-22-2016 11:06 PM | Re: Shipstation Questions Correct for the above comment, you don't wanna risk anything different from what you would normally do in stealth accounts. Or else. But that' would be a one time thing. |

jeffweico, how do you fund your stamps.com account? Anyway to do it with paypal?
Does a re-loadable card exist that does not require registration? |

Does a re-loadable card exist that does not require registration? | Hope I can help. Stamps.com is just like using USPS.com. You can only use a debit or credit card. No gift cards will work. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:15 PM. | |
