InkFrog Do's and Dont's

I made a list from what I got reading here and there on the forums because I have yet to find a thread that really mentions EXACTLY what can and cant be done on INKFROG as far as tracking goes. I see many people asking questions still on this subject. Many people are worried about what can and cant be done before actually signing up for inkfrog.

I still have many questions on what you cant do

The list of what you can/should do without getting tracked:
1. Import current listings from eB
2. Use multiple eB ID's to sell under one inkfrog account for the same monthly price.
3. Mark an order paid, shipped, paid & shipped. Un-Mark order Paid, shipped.
4. email customer feedback reminder, item shipped, payment received, etc.
5. combine orders to ship as one.
6. Use external image hosting i.e photobuck. imageshack, etc.
7. end live listings, delete them, re-list unsold, sell similar

What you cannot/should not do or you will get tracked:
1. click on listings that direct you to your live listing on eB ( I have not tried it yet)
2. When you signup for the account, you need to generate an token, and you login to your account on eB. When you do this you MUST use your stealth ip/computer profile etc. DO NOT you a burned ip or computer.
3. Use templates when you list new items? ( somebody chime in to explain this one?)
4. Use the inkfrog hosted pictures across multiple id's. It shows the main inkfrog account in the pic link. I have seen a few posts where they say you wont get linked, but like all else, dont chance it unless you just careless enough to want your account to get burned. ( someone could correct me if im wrong)

What I still have questions on:
Can you use SKU numbers in inkfrog and does eB see these? For example, "inkfrog-123456789". Could you replace it with a part#/inventory# to keep track of items, and use that same sku across multiple accounts (but of course different titles)?

If anyone can add anything I missed or would like to buzz in for my last question :thumb:

Wow thanks! Exactly what I was just looking for before signing up and trying InkFrog. Hopefully other members shim in with their experiences too and any other software they use to manage multiple stealths.

Re: InkFrog Do's and Dont's

Ok so I have been using inkfrog on multiple stealth for about a week and this is what I've seen:

First of all, and very important, I've been using the new open.inkfrog.com interface that they have for managing listing, pictures etc, it might be different on the old inkfrog interface.

The first 2 items on your DON'T DO list are correct and shouldn't be done.

The other 2 I haven't seen any issues and here's the explanation.

I've been using their new templates on the new interface and there is no linking that I've seen, obviously using different templates, colors etc to make them different for each account. But they can't know they come from only 1 inkfrog account, I've looked into the code that it inserts into the listing and there isn't anything on it that identifies the inkfrog account it came from.

The other point about pictures, again this is using the new inkfrog interface, I can use their picture gallery from the templates and the pictures can't be linked either, each picture has a unique random URL for them, even on the same listing each picture has a different URL on them, so impossible to be linked.

On the SKU issue I haven't done much research onto it to be sure. I know for multiple variation listing inkfrog generates a SKU ID for each variation and that gets imported to eBay as the custom label but not sure on a regular listing, will look more into it

Have you been sending messages from the UI?

Yes messages are fine

Don't #3, "Don't use templates"

I'm not sure about that one either. Best not to use most of the templates simply for the fact that they aren't mobile friendly, and thereby decrease your views overall.

All above...wrong.
New Inkfrog token at beginning use separate user/IP.
Clean all photo's Batchpurifier
After that there is no linking
Been using inkfrog for years

Anyone know what ink frog hosted picture means? I have about 10 eBay user ids listed with them now, downloaded it, synced it or whatever. It has my pictures from my previous listings on there. When a listing ends, I just go to that sold listing on ink frog, and launch. That's ok right?

I'm curious, is anybody here still using inkfrog open? i'd like to know if it is still safe to use?

Any input would be massively appreciated

Does this still work anymore?

Inkfrog open is a killer way to keep accounts up to date esp if you're running ALOT of accounts at once I have done everything in the 'CON' section (besides logging in with same IP of course) and none of that has caused a link.

Nice thread search as well - a solid post from way back :thumb:

Inkfrog is still a very neat way to manage multiple ebay accounts.

I'm still using classic, was always scared of getting burned. Maybe its time to switch, it sure will make life easier.

Re: InkFrog Do's and Dont's

So am I understand correctly, if you use Inkfrog Open, you can use it to handle multiple eBay accounts and use all the features without worry of being linked?? The only time I have to worry about IP is when I log directly into eBay??

Are you referring to #1 or #2?

1. click on listings that direct you to your live listing on eB
2. When you signup for the account, you need to generate an token, and you login to your account on eB. When you do this you MUST use your stealth ip/computer profile etc. DO NOT you a burned ip or computer.

You said you've done everything except "logging in with same IP."

Re: InkFrog Do's and Dont's

I don't understand how it's possible that Inkfrog is able to take actions in your Eb account.
What about ip address? Is Eb seeing Inkfrog's ip address?

What ip address does Eb see when Inkfrog is fiddling with your listings (on your behalf)?

Re: InkFrog Do's and Dont's

Am I right in assuming that all submits/updates from all users that use Inkfrog, come from the same IP, or block of IPs?

It seems to be OK, since Ebay accepts Inkfrog. It is however a connection between accounts, however vague. I would prefer a stand-alone product instead of an SaaS though. Pity turbolister isn't updated anymore.

Re: InkFrog Do's and Dont's

what if your eb account were linked and suspended as a result of misusing inkfrog. Can you still use that inkfrog for new account or will eb see that the same inkfrog was used on suspended accounts?

Yes, just dont use the image service or cross sell feature (which I think they disabled already)

I've used the same inkfrog from burned accounts no problem.

eB only sees your true IP address when you authorize the token for Inkfrog when adding eB account.

eB only sees Inkfrog server IP address.
