| | | Dmshark25 | 10-15-2015 09:54 AM | VERIZON updated their prepaid Data Plans Devices capable of using these plans are any 3G/4G LTE tablets, mobile hotspots, and other various connected devices.
Plans
500MB for $15/week
1GB for $20/month
2GB for $35/2 months
5GB for $60/2 months
10GB for $100/2 months
Much better, my last data plan I purchased the end of September it was 3GB/1 month for $60. Now $60 will get 5GB/2months. So for the same price they are giving 2GB more and 1 extra month |
Re: VERIZON updated their prepaid Data Plans Great to see them lowering prices. Too bad for them I'm on a flashed mifi :spy: |
| jeffweico | 10-15-2015 11:02 AM | Re: VERIZON updated their prepaid Data Plans I think this is the way that all data plans are going - cheaper and cheaper. The cable companies and cellular companies HATE THIS. The cable companies especially. They would rather parcel out each byte of data like it was precious and charge a fortune for it. It is cheaper than investing in faster infrastructure. But they won't be able to keep it up.
Remember when cellular service cost 50 cents a minute and you had to have a FICO score of 700+ to get a phone?
Now, phones can be had for $5, and even the most expensive cellular plans are maybe 5 cents a minute.
The same thing is now happening with broadband. A few years from now, we will catch up with the rest of the world, with faster speeds and cheaper plans. |

BTW, these VZW boxes should be unlocked, so gonna be testing multiple SIMs in this from multiple carriers. i will have the tsunami of IP pools |
| Dmshark25 | 10-15-2015 03:21 PM | Re: VERIZON updated their prepaid Data Plans Besides the extra GB It's great how they are now running these as 2 moth plans instead of 1 month.
They are the first to,offer prepaid 2 month plans, I'm curious to see how the other carriers respond |
Re: VERIZON updated their prepaid Data Plans I'm gonna stick to my $5/month for unlimited 3G bandwith.... |

The flashed device was great when I was starting but, it has some lag time, and lot of times clicking back and forth and reloading. So nice to just zip through |

I have a cell plan with Virgin Mobil too but I never learned/had time to
learn how to use the cell service to convert it to internet service for more IP's and good back up to my other services. |

Even T-Mobile has improved, I have their hotspot also, and a year ago the ip range was extremely small , and you would need to turn off for sometimes 10 + min to get the IP to change.
Now , their IP pool is huge, rarely I get repeats, and it changes as easily as Verizon |
