eBay sniping software?

Right....

Can't seem to find anything from the forums so I'll make a thread.

eBay sniping tools, anybody use them? Any good ones out there and whats the take on it in general? I normally only sell on eBay, but I've seen couple of good deals lately, but I just can't force myself to sit there and bid until the last minute.

Any good software out there that perhaps snipes the auctions for me and even send me alerts when same/similar items(Model/Brand name in title) have been listed?

Would be useful, as I'm after couple of pretty specific items.

Cheerio.

Interesting... Any favourite ones?

Also, is it against eBay regulations in any way or can they detect the software? Can they ban an account?

I'll most likely give the subscription based one a try as it seems rather professional(I always feel that if I pay for something, its better).

Also, whats the best way to get notifications/alerts on certain search terms? Is there a way? Or is it manual search every day or two?

Snipes from their servers, not your computer. So even if your internet connection has a hiccup, you're fine. If your computer crashes, you're fine.

Totally free. You can pay $6/yr for their mirror service (highly recommended) which means they place your snipe from 2 servers using 2 different internet connections, so even if one of their servers or connections goes down, your snipe gets placed. If both go through (almost 100% of the time) eBay just takes one and doesn't do anything with the other. (If confused, learn about eBay proxy bidding, it's not like it will raise your bid at all.)
