Infrog causing verification?
 

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to start using inkfrog and when i go through the sign up process from the inkfrog website it takes me to the ebay log in screen. When i try to log in it says i have to phone verify ? Is this normal?

Is this ebay just trying to protect me because im signing in via a thirdparty?

Yes, this is normal on an older account. If you link inkfrog right when you create the account, it wouldn't be a problem.

So if you do not have a phone to verify your account with, you basically should not expect to be able to connect that account to inkfrog? There is no work around?

Yes, that is true. I had to abandon a couple of accounts. Unless someone else can chime in and figured another workaround.

Oh wow, did you stop using the accounts because you didn't want to bother with an account you can't connect to inkfrog.. or did you abandon the accounts because they wouldn't let you log in without verifying?

I abandoned it because I couldn't connect to Inkfrog, but the account was fine.

I got the same message setting up several of my accounts through inkfrog. When I called they asked me a series of questions like what color car did you drive in 1989 and what was the address you had in 1995 and what credit did I open in the last 3 years. Since this was a stealth account I had no idea but I took a guess. They gave me multiple choices. The first account I set up I answered them all correctly and they let me link inkfrog. The next time I called I missed 2 out of 4 and when I asked which ones I missed she said the color of the car and I said I had painted it right before selling it and never re registered the color with the DMV and I missed a persons age range so I said it could either be my father or nephew (thus eliminating 2 more plus the one I originally got wrong) and she said it must be my father because he was 20 years older than me. Long story short I passed 2 of the 3 accounts. The last account the rep was rude and in a hurry and told me to wait 24 hours then I could sell. I thought that was pretty cool. Just wanted to share that story.

I remember reading linkfrog is now sharing user info with eb as their last update went .. Iam i wrong ?

For the verification issue there should be a link at the bottom of the page reads something along the lines of "try another way". When you click that it will let you verify and getting a pin texted to you.

I don't know if anyone had encountered this problem as well, but I was having a problem where I get stuck in a redirection loop with Inkfrog where it keeps redirecting me to eBay to allow API access even though I've allowed it already. You can fix this by going to the app center on eBay, searching for Inkfrog, and signing up using that route. I also believe this will avoid the security check altogether. Hope I've helped.

I am having this exact same loop problem, i just tried to add inkfrog via the app page and i get another error
"You cannot subscribe to this application because you don't have permission."

any solutions anyone?

Did anyone find a solution to this or still getting it? I just tried on a new account and still get the refresh loop ... ive contacted inkfrog and they are scratching their heads aswell.

I had the same loop, how I fixed it was installing the APP from the app marketplace at Ebay's.
