Why does my ip come up a long like of jumble?

Usually while checking my ip, I get a 27.03.9.64 type format number, but now when I check it (both when using a mifi or cable internet) I get something more like this:

4:2043:230b:88700:e916:b4ge:f4d6:z: f842h:z4e

I use iPBurger and whatismyip and it still comes up as this.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a reason for this? It's only started happening a week or so ago.

I guess this is a new IPv6 addresses, it seems that your ISP is now using IPv6 instead of IPv4.

I think there is no problem.

amazon & ebay currently only look at your ipv4, if you want to check your ipv4 can use a site like this
