VPN Setting - am I Safe?
 

Hi everyone,

Currently, I am using a VPN log on to stealth ac. I use the 'VPN' function on Windows to log in. In addition, as a safety measure, I add the VPN's IP to the 'Internet Properties > LAN Settings > Proxy Server' screen, so that the in and outgoing traffic must go through the VPN. Didn't know what port to enter, i used the default (80).

I was wondering, is this kind of setup fullproof even when the vpn disconnects by itself?

Occasionally, when the EBAY website is loading, the vpn connection suddenly disconnects. When It does, I was wondering if my real IP will be leaked during the split seconds while the site is still loading?

it could quite possibly leak.. many vpn providers now a days have it so everything stops if the connection drops so that it prevents this from happening

I have a program that I can use that stops all connection when the vpn disconnects. It basically loops every 0.x seconds to constantly check if the vpn is still connected. do you think a loop time of 0.1 second is fast enough to prevent leak? If not , what should the loop time be?

I would get a more reliable VPN provider, that's it.

Your real IP would get leaked if the VPN disconnected like that yes

Set up a non VPN traffic block or get a more reliable VPN
