Other ways to get IP other than phone
 

I use my phone to tether it is super convenient, get a new ip in under 20 seconds. The downfall is all the data it is using, even checking PP and ebay pages will use a lot. I use probably around 500mb a day across all my accounts, so is there any other ways that you guys use that is convenient an quick to get new ips?

You could get a MIFI device or get a VPN/VPS

Is tethering easy to do?

I've never tried this.

It certainly is easy to tether. Just turn on your bluetooth and hotspot and connect....

Tethering is the easiest thing to do. And every time you disconnect your mobile data and reconnect it (a 30 second process at most) you can get a new IP address.

I know I sound dumb, and I'm sorry for that, but how can I connect my computer to my LTE cell phone connection using an iPhone?

I'm googling this and watching YouTube videos, but can't seem to figure it out.

Do you need an app on the iPhone?

Which iPhone do you have? The easiest method to connect an iPhone to a Desktop would be via a "Wifi adapter"....if your using a laptop, all you need to do is turn on the wifi and search for the iphone...but first, lets figure out which iPhone you have and which OS your running.

I have an iPhone 6, and I am running Windows 7.

Also it is a PC and not a laptop, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Use your phone as a mobile phone hotspot.
Go into the phone settings and you will see the option.

Work it from there.
Its an iphone man.... one of the easiest phones in the world to use.
Just turn on the hotspot feature and use it bluetooth or wifi,

If you still cant work it out, if there is a local phone shop near you, go there with ur phone and they will show you within minutes

Searched for it for awhile and never came across the hotspot option.

Did some googling and found that this is a pretty big problem going on. Many people don't have the 'Personal Hotspot' option showing on their phone.

I guess I'n out of luck until I go to Apple and ask them what's the deal.

It has to do with your data plan and your carrier

Some phone plans don't allow tethering. You can probably just call it in or go online and change your plan to one that allows for tethering.

Will tethering still be ok if I previously used that phone to access an account that has been restricted, as well as the app?
I want to tether to my mac to login into my new account.

If you used the eBay app on a phone I believe it leaves a lot of traceable info on the device. It's pretty common to be told to stay away from the apps. Not sure how that works if you now just want to use the phone as a hotspot. Maybe someone one knows that answer for sure can chime in.

Yes it should be fine to use as a Hotspot, just change the IP and should be ok to use....just don't use the App ever again on a new account with the same phone.
