Can I use a friends eBay account on my PC if I clear everything?
If I were to clear my cookies, aquire a new IP on my computer....would it be possible to open my friends account on my computer without being linked in anyway? He doesn't care if I use it, heck he doesn't care if it gets suspended because he is PO'd with the Bay himself.
Would this be an easy way to buy and sell on another account...if I did my homework. Or would this soon spell doom to that account more than likely?
Anyone know any tricks?
Thanks!

You can do this if there is different IP and all else different..Important, use separate window user for this account on the same computer, and leave all cookies there.
Was your friend's IP from the same general area? If not, Ebay will probably call the phone number he has listed to verify that account was not hijacked.

lyda, if we deleted all cookies, flash cookies, changed ip address, use firefox instead of IE...
so do we still need to use separate window user to open a new account?

nah you'd be good as long as all old data was cleared. like she said they may want to get a phone verification before they let you sell anything tho. otherwise you should have no problems.

The best way to deal with new and or multiple accounts is to set up a computer user account for EACH account.
This keeps ALL data separate and lowers the odds of being linked tremendously.

I have used a friend's account on my computer with no issues other than having to do the phone verification. He even gave me the answer to his secret question so I was able to add another phone number and recieve the call with the pin number...didn't have to bother him at all.
As with all other accounts it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to clear cookies and change your IP address and there should be any trouble in my experience
I dont unnderstand why someone would want to try to run multiple accounts on 1 windows user account. You are just asking for a slip up. 1 time you forget to clear your private data or switch IP and you could ruin both accts. It actually takes less time to just log off and switch to another account. And it is much easier for sorting information, like pics and descriptions. You dont want to get those crossed up either because ebay checks that too.
