Tracking number from China doesn't correspond
 

I bought an item on eBay. I knew it is dropshipped from China.

Seller provided tracking infos but date of "item received by CN post office" is prior to my purchaase...

- is this some kind of scam?
- is chinese tracking system not reliable?
- has seller loaded the wrong trackin number?

Its a hard one to judge, its quite possible the item is on route however the seller decided to attach an old tracking number so the funds are released faster (if he has the hold), or maybe he sends them in batches and just wants to keep the buyer happy in thinking its on route.

How is the feedback on the user? Check for the item you bought on his feedback list and see the results. Honestly, mail from China I have never had an issue, of course there is a wait but the tracking is usually fairly accurate.

I would not rule out a scam just yet, it'll most likely turn up and even if it doesn't I know time has been wasted but you will get your money back off eBay given the tracking inconsistency.

I sold something on ebay and shipped from China before. The tracking system is suck. It shows nothing on ebay during the whole delivery. If you can PM me the tracking number, I can check it for you on the some chinese website.

Checking trackin is not a problem but it shows a parcel that doesn't seems to be mine. Shipping date is before my purchase, hence... the questions above.

Seller seems to have given a placeholder useless info - how is his/her feedback?

Feedback is positive but very low... item is risky I guess he opened a brand new account for selling this stuff.

I hope he knows how to stealth not to risk his own account, not my business tho'

I dont trust this third party service, I was planning to check on the China Post website in the Chinese language. They may provide less information if you access the website in English language.
