Default IP Addresses - Alternative to Dial Up

Hi All, you may know this already but for others that dont.. if you are trying to get new IP address for multiple accounts etc, an alternative to using Dial Up (slower speed and hassle of installing a second fone line etc) is perhaps trying a Broadband Wireless service.

I took Aspkin's advice today and checked my IP address out by visiting ipburgerdotcom. At first attempt I had a different IP address. Once I logged out and back in again and reconnected, I had a new IP address, and wireless does not take long to reconnect and does not cost a fone call each time!! No need to take the dongle out each time either

But try to wait a couple of minutes before you reconnect.

As for a preferred ISP I am using Virgin Broadband which is not very reliable for where I live, so it is best to check around before entering into service agreement with an ISP to find out whethere they have towers in your area. (found out after I signed up with Virgin Broadband that 3-an ISP, has towers around my place and hence the connection speed & reliability would have been much much better)

Cheers,

You are probably given a range of addresses that you can access. For example: 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.5.

You should do some further tests to confirm this isn't the case. If it is, you may need to find another solution to be completely safe.
